I'm calling it right now.
FFS it's well made, free to play Zelda Online. I've been waiting for somebody to make this game since the internet was invented.

It looks like it could be good but at the same time I don't think I would enjoy playing alongside ten year olds the entire time...

Uses of Energy
There are a number of ways throughout Haven and the Clockworks that a knight can spend energy.
Elevators: Each player must spend 10 energy to use an elevator to travel to the next floor of the Clockworks. This cost will be paid when the party steps onto an elevator and chooses the option to go down. Elevators that take the party back to Haven do not require energy.
Energy Objects: A variety of machines can be encountered in the Clockworks, each one offering a different service or benefit. The required energy to utilize each machine varies and will be displayed at the object. These objects include gun turrets, mecha knights, and other useful emplacements.
Energy gates in the Clockworks - 3 energy / gate
Danger rooms in the Clockworks - 3 energy / gate
Activating friendly mecha knights in deconstruction zone levels - 5 energy / knight
Activating stationary mecha turrets in some levels - 5 energy / turret
Crafting New Items: Energy is used to fuse crafting materials together into a new piece of equipment using an alchemy machine. The required energy varies according to the star level of the item that the player is creating.
Starting a Guild: 500 energy must be expended to start a guild.
Reviving: Reviving yourself and/or other party members while in the Clockworks.
Do I have to pay to play?
No, you can play for free! You are automatically granted 100 Mist Energy every day. If you want more energy, you can purchase Crystal Energy via the Energy Depot, which is where players buy and sell Energy for crowns, or you can buy Crystal Energy with real money as shown above.

yep, you can see all the content/gear in the game and not pay a single penny. Hence why I said "free to play" in my first post.

... Where the fuck did you get an edit button?!
Anyway, I don't think this will be bigger than WoW, we need Nintendo to launch their HD system with the actual 'Zelda Online' before that can happen. I would like to see how this plays though, I like it when devs use different combat styles in MMOs(be it like AoC, action based, or turn based).

This makes you sound naive. All free-to-play systems are still designed to generate profit for the hosting company, and gamers want to know how the company intends to generate profit and how that will impact them.
In this game it looks not great, since it seems you can purchase gear outright with 'energy'.
Firefall is going to be free to play too, but they haven't announced or figured out their monetization strategy except to say you won't be able to just outright buy gear, taking a more customization route.
I especially am wary of a game that says it's going to cost energy to use the elevator or resurrect a party member.

This isn't the front page. Everyone has an edit button. You don't have one here? If not, the EvAv gods must really hate you :P

It's true that it costs energy to play the game but the game gives you a certain amount of energy for free on a daily basis(generally enough to play for 3 or 4 hours). You can also buy more energy with the currency you earn playing the game.

out of curiosity's sake I wanted to calculate how much cash you'd have to spend to buy the gear outright to unlock the second and third tiers. It turns out you can get a full set of 2-star gear four around $2.50 total. If you were to instead pay $8.75 Initially you'd have access to the entire game from the get go with the added benefit of doing(somewhat) more damage and taking less damage that those with just starter gear. (gear stats are scaled down for lower level dungeons, you still do more damage, but you're not one-shotting stuff)
So technically, for a one time payment of $8.75 you have access to the entire game.

Right. So the game presents you with a choice, spend a few dollars, or spend literally months earning the same gear by in-game activity.
Most people don't want people to be able to buy gear rather than earn it, in a free to play game. That is, most people want gear to have to be earned.
In conclusion, it's a beautiful game, fairly fun gameplay, beware that you'll feel an urgent desire to purchase gear with ~4 hours of gameplay.

The game is actually fairly fun, my brother and I burned through about 150 energy in a few hours today. The 100 free, and then some of the Mist Tank item they give you that gives a full recharge - think that item is only one use tho.

There's always something in these games that make "100% free" so annoying you're basically forced to pay. Allods did it, Runes of Magic did it, LOTRO did it, and this game will do it.

That's what I've been saying. But, it's also a turn-off.
What made getting sweet gear in WoW awesome was that you couldn't do anything but earn it with effort. It cheapens the cachet factor of having rare gear if you can't tell if it's been bought or earned :\

Actualy Anen, This game has that.
There are more than a few items that can only be gotten with non-tradeable seals that only drop from (rather challenging) boss fights.
