On the eve of Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals (http://www.nhl.com), EA Sports (http://www.easports.com) and 2K Games (http://www.2kgames.com) have renewed their non-exclusive NHL licenses. No word on the length of either.
Excellent game going on tonight...you all should be watching!

I would watch, but Hockey (preferably as I call it "penguins on the march" !) is rather oven cleaner-esque in regards to my eyes and their well being. http://www.duckandcover.cx/forums/images/smiles/icon_drunk.gif

One might be inclined to draw out a most hackneyed response and as much as I shudder to do so, it must be done in order to keep the tipping balance of the universe not so anymore.
You have not missed much. Oho

Awesome news - I'd hate there to be a time when I only had NHL Live to play.

You cannot touch NHL 94 (we had the SNES version). One timer or Wrap arounds, oh yeah. My brother and I loved the fliers back in the day (I haven't really followed hockey in a while" and Brind'amour and Reiche (sp?), both were fliers starters in that game.

It sucks that Edmonton lost, but it's good for the league... I guess.

Nice to see NHL and NHLPA to go the Non-Exclusive way. Competetion is good.
Canīt stand NFL now without my NFL2k series....
Anyhow, love hockey!
AND - GO EDMONTON GO!
to bad they lost, but good to see Brindamour, Weight and Wesley and some other oldies getting their rings. But next year,itīs Smyth , Peca, Pronger and Smiths turn!

Yay to Brind'amour!!!
I was a big fan of his with the Flyers. One of the hardest working guys in the biz, and has the nose to prove it. ;-)

Awesome news about the license and absolutely joyous news about the Canes. I get choked up every time I rewatch Brind'Amour hoist The Cup for the first time. What a season. It'll be nice when 2K7 rolls out and Carolina has some good stats :).
