I'm pale...white mexican dude...until I go fishing/beach then I get some color in me, big deal don't really care. But why would a person that is pale (and turns red) would want to be "darker" aka orange or look like they overdid their tan? They look so unnatural and weird. A couple hundred years ago, having a tan meant you were a field worker and it was not having a tan (and not being skinny) that was considered beautiful and sexy. Now, having a tan means you're not a shut-in and like to go outside and have fun or w/e :P

I think it's a bit crazy really. I know this girl that got super bronzed from actual sun... skin cancer is a major problem >_>

Still, it's all a matter of cultural determination. Why get tanned? Probably because california girls got tanned and it spread from there >_>

No, no, no. Not happening. I dated a redhead once, that was enough for me :P

Besides, I'm super white already. If I married a redhead, our kids would be transparent.

I don't even like blondes for basically the same reason. There's very occasional exceptions to every rule when it comes to attraction of course, but I sincerely doubt it's gonna go down that way, AP!

Besides, my older brother married a ginger, so I think that takes the jinx off me :P I'm partial to mixed-race Asian girls raised in America >_> They tend to have something of a natural tan, and that's nice too.

There is a certain strain of women with dark hair and fair skin though, quite naturally. Some Russians have this look. Umm. Some Israelis mebbe. Italians. Frenchies. Welch, Catherine Zeta Jones would be a good example.

Tans... yeah. Why do women bother? -shrug- The women in magazines tend to have nice bronze tans. I don't worry about tans, or dumb women's magazines though. Being half asian gives me enough of a bronze tinge to look healthy yet white enough for people to not realise I have asian blood. :p
