TeamXbox (http://www.teamxbox.com) is reporting that UNO has surpassed the once-mighty Geometry Wars in the demo-to-purchase statistics.

You can read the full article here (http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/11143/UNO-Surpasses-Geometry-Wars-DemotoPurchase-Rate/).

Microsoft announced today that since "UNO" hit Xbox Live Marketplace last month, it has become the single-most successfully-demoed game on the service.

Its demo-to-purchase rate is currently between 40-45% (depending on the day), beating the previous demo-to-purchase rate record (39%) set by Geometry Wars.

Developed by Carbonated Games, UNO is a classic party card game where you compete against three other players to match colors and symbols. Add-on theme decks offer new art and new card effects, keeping the game fresh and challenging.
Yowza, I guess I signed up for Live at exactly the right time!

I hope Konami releases the Gradius collection on Live. I know, seems a little odd at this time, but in the future I see games being released left and right.

Adam Blue, unless Microsoft changes their outlook on how they want to release games on Live significiantly (which is possible and wouldn't be completely unwelcome), I don't see it happening.

I downloaded the demo as soon as it came out. I said, "Well, it's all right..." And for $5, "all right" cuts it.

I can see the first 4 Gradii coming out in the Arcade. We know the first one is. If that does well, you know how this industry is with sequels.

Anyone know how many sales either of these are getting? I'd be really currious to see how well the marketplace is doing, hoping that the electronic distibution takes off fast.

Uno is a great game. If I had a 360 I would have/play this often.

Count me in with those who demoed then purchased the game. I played the demo and thought, "Hey, this is pretty neat. Maybe I'll buy the full thing soon." Once I did and played my first game on live, I was floored. I hadn't played Uno in years and getting to play it with actualy people was great. And fortunately, the people I've played with so far have been really cool people, Uno being a game where you typically sit around and talk as you play.

I downloaded the Uno demo too, and my wife played the game for an entire evening! I had to fight for the controller back.

..and when SHE wants me to buy a game like Uno... you know Microsoft is making some money. :P

Yeah, Ajguy's dead on, it's amazing how nice most of the people I've played with randomly are.

UNO, no way. Why don't they start selling crazy eight or old maide or even go fish. That is totally lame.

LAME? Are you kidding? Let me ask you - have you played UNO on Xbox Live Arcade? I guess you must have, how else would you have come up with such a well-worded critique?

I'd like to see Phase 10, myself. Though the wife and I do enjoy UNO a great deal.

I'm sure Uno's 35th anniversary played no small role in getting it made into an XBLA game. That's just good synergy.

To the naysayers, just try this game. You'd be surprised how fun it is. It'll be great when the XBL Vision Camera is released.

Noooooo! I'm now anticipating a mention of the now-fabled value chain! See what you've done?

PS - If I recall correctly, Synergy for Men was a pleasant-smelling cologne.

I just finished the book that coined "synergy." As a new brainwashed disciple, I shall defend the word with my meaningless, insignificant life. For the synergy of a United humanity!

When does "Sorry", "Life", "Payday", "Monopoly", "Scrabble", and "Yahteez" come out? I will buy each and every single board game that is released on XBLA... no questions asked!

UNO has been a lot of fun for me, and it would be one of the first three XBLA I'd recommend to anyone new to a 360 (UNO, Geometry Wars, and Marble Blast Ultra).

Maybe in a couple of months Small Arms will come out and do even better...

The title's been changed if you look up talk -- we just can't (as far as I can tell) change it for the thread title.
