You know, when I was a kid, fucking BAM! Ghostbusters II is just OUT in the theatres. No internet, just "hey does the paper have what movies are out tonight?" Hell, you didn't even see commercials that often for movies, that I recall. Of course, I only watched TV on Saturday mornings, back when it was worth watching. What the fuck is BRATZ!? Hmm, directed by Michael Bay? I've enjoyed his work on past Jerry Bruckheimer productions, but then again, I'm a sucker for ridiculous action comedies. Bad Boys, The Rock, and Armageddon to a lesser extent.. Oh, how I love these horrible films.

Though I haven't really cared for his most recent work with the producer (Bad Boys 2, Pearl Harbor..). But this movie is one of the few films he's directed without Jerry Bruckheimer on production. I didn't even realize they were making it, so I wonder how it'll turn out.

Needless to say, I'm excited about the Transformers returning to the big screen.

"Real" not fully CG and contains the new Camaro in it. Should be awesome!

A perfect film for Bay. Big explosions, lost of gunfire, shallow plot, over-the-top chase scenes, comic relief, all staples of Transformers. Bay should do fine.

Some people are already saying the movie is ruined because rumor has it that bumblebee is a Camaro, Optimus is a firetruck, and Megatron is a tank, plus Soundwave might not even be in it.

You know what, I'm not interested in this because it reminds me of my childhood. If all I want is a visit to my past, I'll watch the 1985 movie on DVD. I'm interested in it because of what it will do that is different. There are lots of ways that giant, robotic, alien life forms waging war on Earth could be played out, and all of them are TOTALLY SWEET. I don't need to see the old one all over again.
