I can't say I like that visual style but at least it somewhat looks like retaining the original gameplay. I guess it'll be missing all the cool modes from Bomberman Online which is a shame.

Looks like that gameplay is still based in the old bomberman formula... and I don't exactly hate the new design, but those screenshots looked very confusing. Like Geometry Wars, but not as clean.

I think the new bomb effects and everything look cool... Except for those dumb characters. It's like when they did the x-treme looney toons charcters a while back. It just doesn't work.

In Japan at least it's a budget title (3000 yen, I think).

I don't particularly have a problem with the visuals as long as the gameplay follows the classics, but I know I'm in a very tiny minority on that one. There's been so many shit anime-style Bomberman games for the last 5+ years that I don't mind them trying something new. It was getting a little out of hand and edgy (in an anime manner) already.

What's hilarious is that this 'redesign' closely mimics the original Bomberman boxart (in Japan and the US), though whether the original devs chose that art or if it was some Megaman 1 abomination is still a mystery.

yeah.. i laughed heartily when i saw this in EGM. weak. is hudson even making this? it looks almost as cool as the vectorman remake sega was planning for ps2 a couple years back. :P

btw.. adventure island was pretty cool.. but ever heard of a game called wonderboy on master system? same thing.
