Oooh, I want. Many's the pleasant hour I spent pondering the optimal location for an iron smelter, and trying to find enough space to get the damn farms to 100% productivity. But was that really 10 years ago? I feel so old...

I think I'll wait until the 20th Anniversary edition is released.

I could never get into Settlers. It was always too this, then that, then that, then that, then that. Mud gatherer gets mud for pottery man who makes pots for baker who bakes bread for the market man who makes money for the army. Bleh. Too much micromanagement.

It did look great though, when you had that economy all set up. Reminded me of SimCity in that way.

Serf City (Settlers 1) and Settlers 2 were some of my favorite games back in the day (along with Transport Tycoon).

This is total news to me, and I'm excited. I played Settlers 3 but it kind of killed the series for me - not sure why - maybe I liked placing the paths ^_^

Let's hope for a stateside release. Maybe they'll do an online order thing. I was able to order the re-release of Serf City on CD a few years (almost 6-7 years at this point!) which is handy to have now that I no longer have a floppy drive :P

I agree, Settlers2 > Settlers 3, though I can't say why I feel that way. I just remember Settlers 2 eatting my time, and Settlers 3 getting put down after only the demo.

Classic Games with updated Graphics? Yes, please.

I think they should make a series, like Settlers, then Settlers of England, then Settlers of America, then Settlers of Catan.

Theres a joke in there for some of you.

This looks cool, but it will have to be awesome to get me to stop playing Tropico!

This is my favourite game of the series and I find this to be great news indeed.
Didn't like Settlers 3 that much and 4 only worsened it

Bleh. Too much micromanagement.

The game IS the micromanagement. It's odd.
I usually hate micro in this sort of game, but this one makes it fun fun FUN.

Settlers 2 was one of the first RTS-type games I ever played, and was one of the best.

I'm really looking forward to this.
