I tend to cringe when I hear about sequels of games that have given me very fond memories. I have this strong "want" for the game to give me the same experience or 'feel' that its predecessor did, but it never really does. I hate to be pessimistic, but it happens almost every time. Sequels tend to lose its original flavor or atmosphere even though the technology has advanced. I can think of tons of examples and probably only a few exceptions.
