I was looking at the Nvidia GTX 570 and was wondering why some brands are more expensive than others. For example the EVGA GTX 570 is $360, but others like Zotac, Asus and MSI are $350. Is EVGA better, or is it only more expensive because of the brand name?

EVGA is big on customer service. Some of the cards cost more because they come factory overclocked.

It's not worth paying extra for factory overclocking. EVGA has an overclocking utility you can use with any of its cards for example.

Nvidia provides the chip and the OEM manufacturer add everything else. Different brands of the same card can have very different features and reputations. You might be paying for something like watercooling, or a particular fan design, or more or less memory or something, depending on brand.

Alright thanks for the help. I'll probably go with EVGA (once Newegg has them in stock again) due to the customer service and overclocking program. 10 more bucks isn't much considering the price of the card.

I don't think XFX makes Nvidia cards anymore
