Here's a bit from it...
Ever played a tile-based step by step Japanese dungeon crawler before? Well if you haven’t that’s probably not much of a surprise considering how little love the genre gets outside of Japan. Yet, despite not making some grand global splash, it’s a genre that continues to get games pumped out year after year in Japan. Following in the same trend as the Torneko Mysterious Dungeon games (spin-offs of the DQ series), Dragon Quest Yangus is the latest rogue-like dungeon crawler that takes the traditional setup of the genre and mixes it up with some DQ flair to create a nice little game.

Not that impressive.

HOWEVER: I highly recommend Dragon Quest VIII. It's an excellent game all around. And by excellent I don't mean "mediocre" like 90% of the other JRPGs on the PS2.

Yeah, Dragon Quest VIII is great. Hadn't even heard of this one before now, though, and it sounds pretty 'meh'.

I haven't finished DQ8 just yet, some 40 odd hours in and enjoying it last I played, but I can't say I care about this. I heard about it awhile back and really, it just doesn't sound that good. It's a cheap spin-off, sadly.

In some small, small way the dungeon layout reminds me of Azure Dreams. Dang I miss that game.

HOW FUCKING HARD WOULD IT BE TO PUT DOWN THAT THEY RATED IT A 7.5?

Links to reviews without the scores mentioned at Evil Avatar are lame ass.

Actually, didn't they rate it a 75 rather than a 7.5?

HOW FUCKING HARD WOULD IT BE TO READ THE REVIEW. If you're so fully engrained in the 'need the score' mentality, check GameRankings.

DQ8 is awesome. Buy it now now now. This Yangus game is probably a rental at best... Dunno... um, DQ8 FTW!

Eh, fair enough. But if you hate the way the guy writes, I dunno why his score would matter to you anyways.
