IO Interactive's fourth installment of the popular series, published by Eidos (http://www.eidosinteractive.com/gss/legacy/hitman_bm/), comes to the PC later than the other system's this month.
However, fans will be pleased to know that the a demo of the Single Player mode will be available to download (http://www.gamespot.com/promos/2006/hitman-demo/index.html?tag=hitman_psbox_hband) on GameSpot at 9 AM, Pacific Standard Time.

9 AM can't come soon enough. I've been waiting to see how this will run on my PC for quite some time, even though I'll probably get the 360 version.
On that subject, I've heard the demo will be available around the same time on Xbox Marketplace, but I could be wrong.

The 360 version will be, of course, 59.99, while the Xbox, PS2, and PC versions will all be 39.99. A mobile version is also being released.

I think the UK is also getting a Collector's Edition of the game. It comes in a very fine looking package.

Quick question- I tried playing an older Hitman demo a long while back and got slaughtered because I couldn't figure out how to sneak well, nor could I use the controls well. It was the only game I would have killed for a tutorial level in a demo. Question is, was it just me sucking (most likely) or was the game difficult to learn, and is there any indication that the newest title will be better in learning curve/controls/camera?

Blood Money appears to be easier. Either that, or I finally "got it" (though I believe I had "gotten it" on the first version, then "lost it" on the second one).
I don´t know about you guys, but Hitman 2 seemed, to me, like an action game. I was walking around killing armies and ninjas who´d recognize me all the time.
Now I´ll just grab someone, kill them, steal their clothes, throw them on a trash bin and pretty much no one willl recognize me.
So far I´d say Blood Money is the best one in the series, worth anyone´s time. SPecially if you enjoy stealth games.

Is this still worth playing on the PC or has it been consoled to shreds? Haven't played a hitman since the first buggy pos which really put me off so I'm thinking maybe it's time to see what's changed.

Do we have recommended system requirements yet? I would rather not download the demo and just be surprised by the game, but if no one knows, then I guess I"ll have to d/l to see how well it will run.

It´s great on the PC. Menus are ok, the only thing that annoys me is having to read "Saving game..." and then "Save sucessful" for 2-4sec

Great, thanks. The demo I played a long while back was of Agent 47 starting off in the belly of a grounded aircraft in snowy terrain. Couldn't sneak worth a damn.
