Quite snazzy and I think fans of Wind Waker will love this.

Aaaaagh, I hated Windwaker. All of that sailing, it's enough to bore a person to tears.

In contrast, I loved sailing! My favorite addition to the franchise.

Me too! It gave the world such a sense of scale.

The biggest disappointment about Wind Waker was its length, which the excessive sailing surprisingly did little to mask. They had to throw in a tedious fetch quest on top of it.
The sailing wasn't bad, but there should have been at least 2 more dungeons and more "useful" islands. Maybe another town.

I loved Wind Waker. I love all Zelda's though. So yeah. This will be excellent.

For me, the biggest disappointment was the difficulty. I don't need every game to take Ninja Gaiden levels of skill, but I don't think I came close to dying once the whole game. There wasn't a sense of danger to really keep the combat exciting for me.
Still, loved the game overall. The presentation was great, and I agree with what someone above said about the sailing. It gave a real sense of scale and it conveyed a profound atmosphere of loneliness.
I loved Wind Waker, so... yay! Or I guess... Wiiiiiiii!

For me, my biggest disapointment with Windwaker is that it was exactly like OoT. I know this sounds kind of weird coming from a Halo fanboy, but I think the Zelda franchise needs more diversity. I'm hoping that the Wii version of TP will bring that to the table.
EDIT: Oh, and I'll be buying it no matter what. There has never been a single Nintendo system that I didn't have AT LEAST one Zelda for, except for the Virtual Boy and the DS. They never made one for the VB (a system that I enjoyed quite a bit) and one hasn't yet been released on the DS (the TP princess will be the first).

I'm all over this. Was there another game that allowed you to annotate a map? Drawing a blank (no pun) at the moment. Struck me as a cool feature for whatever reason. Well, as a Zelda whore, I'm not hard to please :)

Loved Wind Waker, but I agree with the sentiment that the sailing was boring. Big problem was that there were SO FEW dungeons and they replaced it with the boring, tedious sailing. Still, the awesome end-area/ending made up for it.

While I agree it was too easy, and I really hate that they cut two dungeons so they could get the game out on time, did you try the guantlet on Outset Island?
I loved that part, one of my favorite parts of the game.
A series of rooms where you don't recieve health from monsters you kill. I think there's like 50 levels, and only one refill station once every 10 levels or so.
I just wish it were even longer. I played that for hours. Died several times, even with 4 bottles.
As far as Phantom Hourglass is concerned, I just wish they'd map a sword swipe to the L or R button so that the game doesn't end up feeling too much like Diablo.

Playing a tune to change the wind was fun for a bit. Then it got boring. Then it got tiresome. Then annoying as all hell.
Managed to get the first page of the link to load, (direct link to the article) but got a SQL Server error '80004005' error for page two, then one for page one when I re-opened the link via EA. Bah, I wanted to read more.

You no longer sail in this game though. You sure give you ship directions with the touchscreen and reach locations very quickly.

This game should be great.
I want another minish cap-style one.
or a remake of the GB-GBC games with Minish's engine. that would be glorious.

I guess I am the only one (who has spoken thus far) who misses the classic nature of the original NES versions. No 3D 3rd person nonsense. Just blissful 2D sprites and a good decent length game. Luckily GBA has both NES games. I never played any of the Zeldas after that until Wind Waker, which graphically was impressive but outside of that, I lost interest very quickly. The demo at E3 (on the Web) was nice but I want to see more or even try it first before I drop $60 for a game that may not be fun.
