I got into the Forsaken World Beta (http://fw.perfectworld.com/), and have been given two extra beta codes for some peeps. Seeing as how everyone that I would give them to is already in the beta as well, they are currently up for grabs to anyone reading this. First cometh, first serve-ed.
Or you can just sign up at the official site (https://register.perfectworld.com/fw), I doubt that you'd have trouble getting into the beta.
Either way, I'm in between PC games at the moment so I will be trying this out to see how it looks. F2P MMO-ers should give it a shot if the low scores of FFXIV have similarly left a sour taste in your mouth.
Anyways, here's a random video of a priest leveling up:

Random poll goes with the random video. Thanks for voting, fools! :D

Toss me one I'd love to try it. I've been playing mmos since 97 on the TEN Network so trust me, I've seen them all.

sigh... another ftp asian mmo where the grind is 100x more than it needs to be so people spend real money on xp pots and gear. Since it gave me a free beta code when I registered I don't feel bad about wasting the one from TeeCakes because it A: saved me money/time, and B: anyone can go get one right now.
This isn't some exclusive beta... just more internet cafe garbage.

I thought the same thing at first but there are some interesting ideas behind it. Supposedly there are a lot of Western influences as well.

We shall soon see. I'm excited to exploit the ability in beta testing to use the currency system (Without using real money) to see how integral paying is to the leveling/end-game content.
The closed beta starts at the end of the month, so basically videos on youtube is the only way to really see what FW is all about until then. Doesn't look as bad as some of the other FTP games out there at first glance...

I'm trying to login and play the downloaded client I just installed, but it's not working ATM. Is anybody playing this right now?

With EQ2 being f2p (and quite well actually without paying) I see not reason for the existence of asian/low quality/grinding mmorpgs anymore. Not that I liked them before.

That's actually my next MMO destination if I don't like FW, but I'd heard some good things about it and wanted to give it a shot first.

BTW-- the closed beta doesn't start until later today (6pm EST) hence my difficultly signing in. We shall soon see if it's a quick-play-and-quick-uninstall scenario or not.
EDIT: Played it for roughly 5 hours total now, it's a pretty blatant WoW clone, does a few things better yet mostly is just 'meh'. I could see it being a distraction for those who refuse to pay a monthly fee for MMOs, but ultimately it's nothing special.
IMHO
