Thanks to Borys headsup in another thread ( linking to a Japanese website... ) I search for an English announcement, and here it is. (http://palgn.com.au/article.php?title=Frame+City+Killer+canceled&id=4587&sid=0f35b58e754c62601007462da670bcfb)
Namco has confirmed the cancellation of Frame City Killer, an Xbox 360 that saw a number of delays and development mishaps.
Frame City Killer was the first title by a Japanese developer to optimise the Unreal Engine 3 technology, and was planned to be Namco’s first title for the console. The game was set in a futuristic metropolis in East Asia, where gamers assumed the role of Crow, an assassin sent into the city to identify a mysterious terrorist group.
Namco didn’t disclose any reasons behind the cancellation, but one can only expect that the title had always had trouble to begin with after suffering from several delays prior to this announcement. Namco have apologised for the cancellation and has assured to Xbox 360 fans that the company is currently working on an RPG title for the console, however the company was careful to keep tightlipped on the announcement.
I gotta say, that sucks pretty heavy, I was looking forward to this game. The good news is Namco is working on an unannounced 360 RPG. So with the bad comes some good.

I was looking forward to it too, which was a pity as it looked like ass from day one.
An RPG from Namco will probably end up being a bigger deal though.

Yay, more RPGs on the 360. Er... Yay, RPGs on the 360! O.o

LOL.
I have to admit that this game didn't look right all along. It doesn't suprise me. Whenever I saw screens and info for Frame City Killer, a turd alert message flashed before my eyes.
At least the 360 is getting some much needed RPG love :)

The song from the trailer must have killed it.

Kind of a surprise, as I did know there was a lot of interest in the title, but obviously it was of such low quality that Namco didn't see profit in attempting to release it.

Wasn't I just saying in the Soul Calibur post, that Namco has no real interest in developing good games on the 360 platform?
The game NEVER looked good.

Good. I'd much rather have the RPG than the very shitty looking FCK. Go ahead and bring on Soul Calibur 4 as well. I hear it looks great on the 360. ;-)

I agree that FCK should have died long ago. How do you know anything about Namco's plans with 360? Silence...

Where did you hear such things about how it looks on 360? I've still yet to find an official announcement...

I'm sorry, this game look like it wanted to be that silly movie i can't think of with Tom Cruise. Ok the movie was pretty good but Tom Cruise is still a nut. Had Jamie Foxx, ummmm.
Xerxes, you're thinking of "Collateral", but it was pretty far from that...
That thing looked like a ball of ass from day one and got worse looking as time went on! I couldn't believe a video I saw where their "shades dude" was shooting guys and you couldn't even see where you were shooting, because the muzzle flash was in the way! And when characters were hit, they just popped up into the air! I've seen better shareware from one of those click-n-play gamemakers!
I'm glad this was killed, so the PS3/Wii/PC fanboys have one less thing to blather about, when it comes to X360 games!

But he rolls into town wearing a grey suit with grey-ish hair and a scraggly beard. I mean aside from looking the size of a normal man he was Tom.

Wasn't this a launch title? And what about Gears of War? Is that still coming? ^^

You know what's really sad about this?
Somewhere, alone, Cory Hart is silently weeping at another lost opportunity to license his Sunglasses at Night song. He could've gotten another thirty bucks in royalties!

I honestly didn't see this one coming, but I'm not altogether surprised. I feel for the people who put the effort into it, though.
