I must be the only person on the planet who's never really had any interest in the Unreal series. Must be why my name is pink.

Thats too bad...the original Unreal still to this day is one of my most cherished PC gaming memories...

That's what I like to see... I feel that the exclusive bullshit is just hurting gamers.

UT's always been about PC online gaming. Sure they can pick up some extra bucks on the side for consoles, but there's been no comparision between the two. Though I wonder if I'll need to upgrade for this, which would suck because my motherboard has an AGP slot, not PCI-E. Ah well.

Direct X 10 cards are the way to go. The downside is Vista must be purchased.
If you want to play UT dedicatedly and all its mods/enhancements, buy the PC one. If you just want to play the game for 4 weeks then move on to some other games, PS3 and X360 versions are there. X360 will have some add-ons on the marketplace (they're going to be free - don't worry), but don't expect PC mods in there.

Well, looking like I'll need to upgrade for this one. The ol' X850 just isn't going to cut it anymore. Oh well, I've been looking for an excuse to Crossfire. I guess I'll wait till DX10 cards hit the market.

I can't wait to see the user levels and mods. I hope it has the same dedication UT99 and UT2k3/4 had. The user mods and levels were really, really something.

I can see you know next to nothing about 3D game engines and whats involved in critiquing them. Please tell me you're blind so I can cut you some slack and remove from the list of nominees for the anual "Gamer with the worst sense of graphical appreciation" award.

This game makes me think, how can people who spend like $700 for JUST two top grade video cards, for SLi and what not, consider the PS3 expensive.

Yeah, they just don't play games on a console. Ps3 does have the keyboard/mouse but will it have UT2K7 updates, mods, and community that the PC version will have? No.

It could have downloadable mods if they're approved/released.. same for 360.

No.I actually meant the relatively small number of people out there dropping a grand on SLI'ed GPUs probably don't care that the PS3 costs $600, because they clearly have money to burn and a desire to spend it on gaming.

If they have SLI'ed GPU, they live to play the rig. Ergo, no time for PS3.

Oblivion?
Unlike official downloadable, Mods are rare to none to platforms other than the PC. Epic themselves won't likely to churn mods.

I've always enjoyed assault...seems like objective based gameplay is sorely lacking, overall. Same with Onslaught...jesus, when they released the demo i played that shit for hours!
I'm kinda hoping that quake wars is just enemy territory 2 with more shiny.

Its fucking gorgeous. It's just too bad they are using such an amazing and powerful new engine to make the same old crap.
I was really hoping they would push the design of this tired series into a new frontier somehow. Not sure how to be honest, because I think they've done everything they could with it already.

I would be happier if they made Unreal 3 with the new engine, but make it more like Unreal 1, not like Unreal 2 which was really horrible.

I swear I heard the same thing when Morrowind for the Xbox came out. Not holding my breath here. UT will always be a PC game for me.

Agreed that UT will always be a PC game here as well, however, i think there's a much greater chance of mods being released on the 360 now that they have the infrastructure for it, and have the chance to profit off of it...hell, the entire E3 thing has really, really impressed me. Not to the point where i would go out and buy one, but it's a place that both the console and the PC industry should have been at a long time ago. Simultaneous distro is def. the way to go.
