This still is the prettiest of the 360/PS3 bunch.

This one looks great, and it was cool to see it played real time. I really wish I could find a hi-res version of that video though, only saw it on the gamespot stream.

I hadn't been to keen on Gears, but yesterday's playthrough changed that. :)

Wow, I hope this game sells well, the gameplay looks like a welcome change from the usual run and gun, third and first person shooters, I really look forward to playing this on Live, and plus the Unreal 3 Engine seems to shine more, and more brightly evrytime I see it.

I found a hi-res version of the playthrough on Gametrailers (http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?type=wmv&id=10494).

Welcome to the REAL next-gen! The quality of this game is the reason MS decided to release HALO3 in 2007 "when it is ready".
Dang!
This game would be better played with the Wii controller though, I bet...

wow, that is fucking nuts. Is that in game shots? The 360 doesnt melt?
Not all of us want to hold a remote for hours on end just to move a crosshair.

I love the "violent" feel. The weapons pack a punch and the blood is crazy. Really feels like a warzone. I wonder how multiplayer will be.

That's some pretty impressive detailing, no doubt about that.
That trailer is absolutely amazing.

thank god someone else thinks it. its not that Wii controllers aren't inovative or cool, but I dont want to ALWAYS have to use my controller like that.
GoW has always LOOKED fucking awesome, but from the sounds of it it just seems like a third person shooter, from beginning to end, and if that's your cup of tea go for it.

Those are pretty awesome screenshots. If you watch the 360 montage of games, they have one part where your character in the game uses a chainsaw mounted on his gun via old granny form RE4.

looks nice, but can't imagine this being anything more then killzone with better graphics. but then again i did enjoy killzone, for the $10 it cost me.
I think this will be a pretty damned cool game. Of course, it could be as bad as Brute Force...
But here's to hoping it isnt.

love the solid way he slams his back into his cover... though the quickness with which he looks back over his shoulder is disconcerting. like turning ur back to the fight then suddenly looking at the fight.
a few times he pushed his back against cover but was on the same side as the enemy, and could've ended up looking in the same direction as the enemy if he didn't correct himself by quickly pulling away from the wall.
so while the wall thing is cool, it could get annoying. like ur back is a big magnet and the walls are all metal.... heh

Remember when everyone said all those Gears of War screens were art, and not gameplay?

Cool, their armour has speakers built into the chests, and pretty neon lights to impress the girls.

I had a chance to play Gears of War multiplayer earlier today. We played 8 player team based deathmatch. Four Cogs against four Locust Horde. Plays pretty intuitively, takes a little getting used to the "roadie run" camera (fine if you're running straight, turning was a little awkward) Otherwise targeting and shooting, switching weapons and the melee attack were all smooth and easy to pull off. Only played one level, a kind of war ravaged waterfront, destroyed buildings and cars scattered about.
Lots of fun! Plays and looks beautiful, now all we need is a release date.
