Gamespot has a list (http://www.gamespot.com/news/6149762.html) of all the Gamecube titles slated for the remainder of 2006. First party games include Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, DK Bongo Blast, Baten Kaitos Origins, and Super Paper Mario (!!!).
To say the Gamecube was overshadowed by the Wii and DS at Nintendo's conference would be an understatement. Even with a new sidescrolling Paper Mario in the works, only Zelda got any mention during their presentation.

Can't say I blame them for not focusing on the cube. I love my little purple box, but it represents a stain on Nintendo's reputation that they hope is not to them what the Saturn is to the downward spiral that became Sega's console business.

I thought their biggest stain was the Virtual Boy? Or those unspoken Zelda games? Or better yet the Nintendo 64.
But SUPER PAPER MARIO! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Finally more Paper Mario goodness, eventhough in side scrolling form.

even mentioning the cube would really be counterproductive for them. They're trying to poject their new vision and new direction. Talking about the old stuff is what Sony does.

Although they didn't mention it during their conference, I think it is still safe to assume Wii is backwards compatible with Gamecube games and Super Paper Mario could and should be awesome.

I just got a gamecube a few weeks ago for a good price and have been enjoying a lot of games that I wouldn't have gotten the chance to play with my PS2. Super Paper Mario sounds interesting

DK Bongo Blast looks like fun. They should make it compatible with the Wii remotes (one remote for each bongo).

Is DK Bongo Blast going to be like Jungle Beat or the Konga games? Personally, I'd love another like the former.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not.
I for one loved Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. It completely caught my by surprise. The dialogue, the crazy cast of characters, the weird things they did with the paper theme throughout the game...it was just a whole bag of shameless action RPG fun.

Looks like an air racing game, hard to tell how that is going to turn out. I was hoping for a Jungle Beat style game as well.

One of the things I'm looking forward to with the Wii (god I hate that name), is the backward compatability. While there won't be much coming out for the GC in the future, there will be a few choice games, and there are a couple of old GC games that I've never played and would like to. . . actually, now that I think about it. . . just Baiten Kaitos. But I would like to replay Windwaker and Eternal Darkness.
I bet they re-release Mario Sunshine as a Wii game. It seems like it would work really well on the system.

Super Paper Mario looks awesome. I love the giant pixellated versions of the characters.
This is quite the year for sidescrolling Mario lovin'.

IMHO I don't think the cube was a "stain" on Nintendo's reputation by any stretch of the imagination. All of these sound pretty cool, especially a new Paper Mario. There are a bunch of cube games I'm backlogged on as it is (just started Killer 7 this week, need to pick up $20 Pikmin2).
Re: Mario Sunshine. That's the cool thing about the Wii. There are a bunch of games and play mechanics that didn't really work very well initially (Mario Sunshine for one, Madden's "QB Vision" for another) that I could actually see being really fun with the wand.

D. K Bongo Blast, from the video I watched, seems to be similar to the other bongo games. You ride on top of rocket propelled bongos (?!) and you hit either the left or right bongo to steer in that particular direction.

I really loved Jungle Beat as well, but it seems that Bongo Blast is some sort of odd racing title (wah?).

Not being sarcastic, should have made that clearer. It is a bit surprising that Nintendo is doing 2 Paper Mario games for one console though
edit:
Last time I remember Nintendo doing this was for Zelda… and I didn't enjoy Mjora's (sp?) mask all that much. Heres hopeing Nintendo doesn't rush Paper Mario though.

What little purple box are you talking about? The gamecube dosent represent anything negative that I can tell, aside from not having the majoraty of the market.

Looking at the Super Paper Mario screens and video I have to wonder if it supports the Wii controller -- there's a little floating cursor on the screen and it seems the Wii-mote would handle a cursor-based game much better than the analog sticks on the Cube.

The cube is a freakin' steal right now. You can easily find a used one for the price of the Oblivion collector's edition. Maybe even with a few games to spare!
There's easily 30 good titles on there that you can find for less than $20USD

More Paper Mario!! Yay!! I was glad to see that Paper Mario 2 just became a Player's Choice title. Pikmin 2 did as well - I just bought it for $50 a few weeks ago though, darn. Oh well, it was still worth the dough. I'll definitely be picking up Paper Mario 2 now and this new one as well. I'm honestly surprised that so many more Cube games are left.

Wow Super Paper Mario and DK Bongo Blast. Thanks Ninty. I'm sure I'll pick up both of them sooner of later. The Paper Mario game from what I read is going to be more platform/rpg than the other more rpg Paper Mario on the Cube.

By the looks of it it's not a Paper Mario game in the strictest sense. It looks to be a 2D sidescroller like the old Mario games, and not an RPG.

Not that there's anything wrong with that...
