sc2 campaign coop?

I've finally got my hands on sc2 and am playing through the first time on hard. It's kicking my ass, but I'm making progress and have to admit, having fun.

I understand the whole driving idea with starcraft is that you have to manage your base and your troops at the same time. This however is what I hate most about the game(playing 2 games at once).

What I would LOVE to see would be the ability to play through the campaign with a friend. It would be the exact same campaign but we would both have control over the units. One of us could man the front lines and the other would make sure everything at the base gets managed. (all while on voice chat of course)

I guess there's no way to mod this in is there?

The starcraft map-editor is amazing, the stuff people have already thrown together is way over the top. I would think that the same missions/triggers already on the campaign maps would be very simple to make into custom maps (and maybe re-balanced a bit.)

That said, I don't know anything at all about how to do that type of thing. I'm right there with you desperately wanting a co-op campaign option (and even tried to find any custom mods that might've been done - no luck.)

I think it's worth pointing out that Blizzard has always stated they plan to make the Starcraft "Marketplace" a massive venue for user-created content, and that marketplace has not yet been put into place. We likely won't see the lions share of the work put into custom goodies until then. Here's hoping it's sooner, rather than later!

Considering it means selling any other game you have linked to the account, and blizzard frowns upon it, I find this unlikely, and You're off topic.


back on topic: I'd love to see a fan made co-op campaign, yet none I've seen.

You...already own the game, and therefore have your own account. Unlike WoW, you have absolutely nothing to gain from buying someone's account other than obtaining their play record and unlocked achivements for yourself.

Of course, if the seller happens to have WoW and any other Blizzard game linked to the account...the amount they'd end up charging would be far higher than the cost of the game itself.

This is just a hunch, but I have a feeling you pirated the game and want to be able to get online while spending as little scratch as possible.
