The official website for Star Trek: Legacy and Star Trek: Tactical Assault (http://startrek.bethsoft.com/home/home.html) has gone live. The site contains new screenshots and other goodies for that Trekkie in you.
Thanks to TeamXbox (http://www.teamxbox.com/) for the tip. (http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/10796/Star-Trek-Legacy-Web-Site-Goes-Live-New-Screenshots/)
I guess Star Trek isn't dead between the games and the recently announced movie. (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11873)

1. Strange fish-eye lens on display in those screenshots.
2. Where the hell are the names on the ships?? Tell me I can name them if I want.
3. X360 shots are underwhelming.

For the 360 screen shots, yea, I hope the plan on having mass battles if the models are that low in quality. Though I would really enjoy piloting the akira class I saw on the site.

The PC shots actually looked pretty decent, I wonder if these are going to be anything more then strange RTS hybrid games.. Give me X-wing vs Tie fighter in any form and I'll buy it.

Amen. What the hell is Lucasarts thinking, anyways? It would be INSANELY easy to port over X-Wing and Tie Fighter to X360 with high-res models and enable controllers, with online battles with realtime voice chat to boot. If they can get 8 people to play via modem, surely they can get 32 or 64 players via broadband.

It is kind of odd that LucasArts abandoned the X-Wing and Tie Fighter franchise just because of the failure of XvT, whose only flaw seemed to be that people were still running on modems back then and playing online games was kind of hit-or-miss.
I agree, it certainly is a title that just cries out for Xbox Live.

That, and for some odd reason far too many people were up in arms over the lack of a full-on single player campaign. That has ALWAYS irked the shit out of me... HELLOOO... we were all screaming/begging/making live sacrifices to LucasArts for X-Wing/TIE multiplayer, and that's EXACTLY what they gave us.

Also agreed, though I have a sneaking suspicion they figure Battlefront 2 is "good enough" for us as far as that goes. =(
