IGN has a tid-bit of info (http://uk.ds.ign.com/articles/702/702928p1.html) regarding a DS version of KoF. Details are unknown, so that's really it.
I just hope they cut the gimmicks and keep it a straight-up classic KoF game. Guilty Gear: Dust Strikers doesn't seem to be doing so hot, mainly because the change of gameplay to make use of the dual screens.

Umm... Dust Strikers comes out tomorrow. So maybe that is why it isn't doing so well. What with the not being out and all.

Even the developers dont want to use the bottem screen to show the game world or stats or anything, they can always make it extra buttons. Theres a few games that have done that.

Traditional 2D Fighting games do not belong on a handheld. Unless of course it's Capcom vs SNK for the NeoGeo Pocket Color.

Yes it does come out tomorrow...but people have video reviews up of the DS Lite... Is this the GG you want? No. I'm not mad or anything. They changed the gameplay to make a 4-player SSB-esque game, which is fine, but doesn't invlove the core gameplay and has a totally redesigned control-scheme...I'm not making this shit up. Oh yeah...there's a Gameinformer review too. Just something to check out if you want.

I love it when games utilize both screens...but only when it's well done... I'm not bitching dude, so calm your ass down and stop YOUR bitching. Sometimes games don't turn out well, it's a fact of life.
I haven't played GG: DS, but shit, look at the screens/videos or read any first impressions. The point I'm making is, I hope that KoF sticks to the core-gameplay... who forgot their tampons today??????

Whoa whoa whoa now... so we are supposed to trust Game Informer now? And yes, vertical combat and SSB gameplay is exactly what I could like to see on a DS fighter. How does the core gameplay differ by the way? Do you not hit people in this one?

Sounds like you guys need to play Jump Superstars. :D
One screen combat, other screen is used creatively for selecting chars and doing combos, SSB style gameplay F . T . W !
Nothing quite like Luffy vs Naruto or Ichigo vs Goku.

Definitely, I hope they try to stick to the core gameplay on this one. Just because you CAN use all the capabilities of the DS, doesn't mean you should need to all the time.

Listen Crazy...you can use the whole "then should I just listen this reviewer now????" defense, but I was pointing out a place you could go to get some more info. That's all, un-wad the panties.

Didn't do your homework? Then why bother? http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c99/AdamBlue/guiltygeards_006.jpg Hmmmm....see that screenshot? I hope that tells you something. This isn't the GG I used to play. A SSB fighter has been done, and I certainly wouldn't want it to be done to a known franchise with staple gameplay. I'm not bashing bub, I'm simply saying that they changed the core-gameplay of GG to make a fighting game using dual screens. I don't mean to be so defensive, but you seem to be way too sensitive over this.

Do you even play 2D fighters?
I sure as hell do, and I was sad to see Guilty Gear take a dip with Isuka and now Dust Strikers. If they're going to do a tag thing, or a 2 on 2 thing, they really need to step it up, since Isuka was just had really strange mechanics and Dust Strikers seems to have...no mechanics.
