Via the magic of Ebay I picked up a Gameboy Advance SP model 101 for $20. This is the newer model with the backlit screen. I had an old red SP, but I never used it much due to how dull the screen was and how difficult it was to view anything on that screen.
I've got a handfull of old games lying around. My son has them all in his Spider-Man lunchbox, where he keeps all his DS and DSi games.
I've got Golden Sun, Final Fantasy I & II and FF Tactics (and Onimusha Tactics).
What GBA RPG's are out there that I might have missed that are worth checking out?
That is the one thing I didn't like about having a DSi -- it doesn't play these old carts.

I didn't clock a ton of time on my GBA, just had a couple games. Think I got more use out of it as a controller for Crystal Chronicles and Four Swords than as a platform.
The first game that comes to mind though is Sword of Mana (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sword_of_mana). Definitely a must-have. There's also an FFV and FFVI Advance, and those two are by the far best Final Fantasy games in my book. Kinda hoping to see an FFV reboot at some point though, the game suffered from some of the same pitfalls as FFIV (dated art, dialogue a little too sparse).
There's always gen III of Pokemon too (ruby/sapphire/emerald as well as fire red/leaf green)... but I'm expecting to see a gen V remake of ruby and sapphire sometime in the next few years .

I have the first Golden Sun. I didn't know there was a sequel. I'll look out for it. I also have Sword of Manna.
I'm not expecting to clock a ton of time with the system, I just wanted to play a few little things I purchased and never played. The $20 investment was more of a "get more out of the stuff I own" than trying to find new things to play, but I always want to keep an open mind for something amazing I might have missed that you can get now for next to nothing.

The best use of the lil GB would be to travel back in time to about 1940 and use it to destabilize world governments and crack enemy encryption, etc :P Maybe, hook it up to the Kennedy center and run the moon-missions with it. Or use it to design the F117a stealth fighter so it's less polygonal :P
I hope at some point Nintendo sells the entire NES catalog in a single go. I'd pay $50 for the whole thing, seriously ;)
Naturally I have to recommend Castlevania: Circle of the Moon and Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. (Harmony of Dissonance is worth skipping). Not to mention the amazing metroid titles: Zero Mission and Metroid: Fusion
If you can find them, Shining Soul II and Summon Night II are both excellent titles, both are rather rare atlus releases. I'd say to get Luminous Arc or Etriyan Odyssey, but both games have been outdone by the DS sequels.
Golden Sun I and II are excellent.
There are a bunch of RPG ports worth getting, Breath of Fire I & II, Final Fantasy 1-6 (especially 6) along with sword of mana. The Megaman Zero games are also excellent, but it'd be cheaper to get the Zero Compilation of DS.
