Warhammer Alliance has put together a wayfarers guide to the Badlands. However, since the outbreak of war many areas have changed hands several times. Areas once reletively safe for travel are no longer. So ease and caution should be taken as the guide is not a guarantee for safty, nor for what you may actually find there today.

Geographically, the Badlands are located between the ocean to the west and the mountains to the east, between the prosperous Old World to the north and the endless leagues of lifeless desert to the south. The land is dry and arid, dominated by bleak rocky hills and dust-ridden moorlands.

To the west, the spine of the Dragonback Mountains follows the coast of the Black Gulf. To the east, the land rises up into the massive range of the Worlds Edge Mountains, where the few remaining Dwarf holds maintain a perilous existence in constant battle with the numerous tribes of Greenskins. Far to the south is the ancient desert kingdom of Khemri, the source of countless legends of the walking dead.

You still left the "Zomg Dragonback Mntn? More liek Brokeback" up to the people who've never heard of Warhammer. This is a game I will be buying, and I'll probably be dropping WoW for it. Now if only they somehow incorporate Red Go Faster, I will die a happy man.

You know, I wonder what would happen if I painted my video card red...

Insert obligatory 'they should've gone with the 40k universe' post.

40k isn't a place for heroes, it's a place for galaxy changing events.

Agreed...in 40k you're basically one speck (Albeit a Seven and a half Foot Genetically enhanced speck with a Melta Gun and Hard on for blood) in a Cosmic chess game, Warhammer fantasy is a bit more personal.

Having a hard on for blood is what counts. And, I don't know. I have a hard time thinking of that filthy, traitorous heretic trying to fill me full of autocannon round sized holes as a speck sized activity.

You would if you realized the exact same battle is being fought on Tens Of Thousands of different worlds...You're just another amusement for The Emperor and The Chaos gods.

You could make a single player game out of it, but a 40k MMOG could never work, it just doesn't fit the lore, it's just way too vast. Tens of thousands of worlds is not exaggeration, not to mention the craziness inside the warp.
