Now, I'm a pretty strong believer in women and men fulfilling different roles within relationships/society in general and both being of equal value.

That's because the feminist movement was mainly trying to turning women into men. It was never "feminist" at all. It was dismissive of women and their unique qualities and attributes in the first place.

It was predicated on the false assumption that women only act like women because it's a cultural construct and not because women really are women and really are different. So most women, being true to themselves, feel no need to turn themselves into men and become feminists.

That said, the movement's greatest achievement was not changing women, but establishing true social equality between the sexes. All women benefit from that, and men too.

Societies new hotness is to be arrogant, have no soul, no common sense, a cutthroat opportunist with no empathy for others, expecting the good life while not even working for it. This applies to men and women. I guess i just tend to take it out on the girls harder since my views are seen by some as outdated and stupid, kinda burns.

No more than the fact that I launder the cloth diapers in our household, and have done so for going on my tenth straight year of doing so (as disgusting a chore as there is, let me tell you).

In a relationship you work out the parameters of who does what however it works best for you. My wife cooks nearly all our meals, but I do some BBQs. I do the diapers. She does the rest of the laundry. I get paid, and she works harder than I do while she's home with the kids.

Whatever works! :)
