The official website for Culdcept Saga (http://www.culdcept.com/saga/) has opened, complete with new screenshots and info (in Japanese, of course). The game is scheduled for a Summer 2006 release in Japan, with no word on a US release. Babelfish English translation here (http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/trurl_pagecontent?lp=ja_en&trurl=http%3a%2f%2fwww.culdcept.com%2fsaga%2findex .html).

Culdcept with 470 cards and Xbox Live play. If this stays in Japan, color me disappointed.

My only disappointment with Culdcept is that the computer cheated like a mo-fo on later stages. Playing it against people would be a lot of fun. For those who don’t know what Culdcept is, think of a straight fusion between Magic the Gathering, and Monopoly.

Culdcept is about the only game with a card-based battle system that I enjoyed to any great degree. The computer is nasty though, especially when you get to scenarios with more than one opponent.

I think I'd enjoy Culdcept if I could find it. I should push that higher up the list. This had better come to America.

Ebay has plenty of them. I got a copy a few weeks ago for around $20. Haven't had a chance to play it yet, but it's in the queue.

Ebay? I need to look there. I just made a run of my local game stores trying to get the first Culdcept, with no luck.

This is so far the 2nd game that would make me want to get a 360. The first being Splinter Cell DA.

I so loved Culdcept. I still love playing it actually, though good lords, aside from the first 2 missions, you are lucky to finish a game in three hours.

After those first 2 missions, you'll probably spend your time playing with friends anyway.

From what I've heard

1) Enchant Arm wasn't all that great and
2) It has been picked up for a Stateside release for later in the year

Yup as KamaItachi said, Enchant Arm scored average and below average in japan, and I agree that it was highly unremarkable (check my gamertag if you think I'm full of it). Ubisoft is also sposed to publish it later this year.

never got the memo, i just remember reading on how there were no stateside plans.im not sure how well the game did as a whole, but the one review i saw (not famitsu) gave it a 7, which to me is'nt half bad.

As Rabbit mentioned, it was picked up by Ubisoft, I think the only mention of it people have seen was on that leaked release list a month ago. So it might not have been officially announced as yet.

I think a lot of the criticism against the game was while it certainly wasn't bad, it was a strictly by-the-numbers RPG and didn't do anything that wasn't done better in other titles. If you're an RPG fan, you might enjoy it though.
