I tried the game and liked the game play feel. However, I absolutely hate games (or demo in this case) where they give you only a certain amount of turns to play with, after that, you lose. Naw, I dont go for games that restricts me to how long I can play a game.

I checked Ubi's forum about that. They said the demo is Starforce free.

My impression of the demo after playing it for only 30 minutes: Feels just like Heroes but in 3D -- which is a good thing.

This demo did what its suppose to -- makes me want to get the final product.

Dabbled in the single-player a bit, good stuff. They fixed all the graphical issues and bugs. Then after that I went into multiplayer where duel mode stole about four hours of my fucking life.

Shit man, turn off "Dynamic Battles" though or you only get five seconds per turn to make your move. So yeah, this game is ready to come out I'd say. I can't wait to play the full version, especially with all the multiplayer options. One last thing that's nice is that there is indeed no StarForce, which even though that'd been announced I just thought I'd reinforce that FACT.

Note: All six factions are playable with the online duel mode. You're limited by the fact that you can't change their setup, which isn't a huge issue for a demo since they each have a fairly unique lineup. One other thing I should mention is that spells are limited as well. As cool as the spells in the demo are they're only the lower spells if I remember correctly. The mid-high and high level shit is where it's gonna be at when this baby is released.

I'm with grifter, have you read anything? Ubisoft is dropping Starforce, so you are good to go!
