Just got word (http://www.majornelson.com/2006/04/10/amped-3-demo/) that the demo for Amped 3 is up on Marketplace.
I really hope the demo includes some of the wacky and zany cut scenes. The game was absolutely hilarious.

The game was like an episode of Monty Python. I really enjoyed it.

They also put up the FFXI gamer pic pack... which justifies that crappy game existing on the console, as far as I'm concerned, with my new gamer pic.

I really don't know squat about it... but I'm certainly willing to try the demo.
I <3 demos.

I set Amped 3 aside for a while after getting it free in a Gamestop 2-for-3 deal and never really got started. I dropped it in this weekend when I was looking for something to play casually for a couple of days, and I'm really enjoying it- much more than I would have expected.
The presentation is completely insane, but not in a grating, 'we're so x-treme' sort of way. There's an Adult Swim vibe to everything, side by side with a definite Sifl and Olly influence (for those of you who remember that great bit of weirdness). And the controls/difficulty are dead on for me - a bit easy at times, but in a way that keeps you happily moving through the game.
I've put a couple of other games on hold until I finish up with Amped. Never expected that, but I'm a big fan of pleasant surprises. It's definitely worth a look...

Hm. I've been on the fence about this game, even at the $40 price point. Maybe I'll go pick it up.

I was wondering how poorly the game must have sold to become the first Xbox360 budget game...
I would have thought it would have been a good choice if only because it seemed to be one of the only 360 games with a good bit of value to it.

I am not too impressed with this game. The animation is not that great, which is kind of good because I can land sideways and still get points for pulling of a trick.
