Blizzard is proud to officially announce the second new race of the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion set, World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade - the mysterious wisps!

Not to be the party pooper, but...

You guys should watch out for April Fools stories being submitted as legit news. It could cause a lot of confusion and arguments.

I wasn't laughing until I looked closely at the Character creation page, and saw the only two selections to modify appearence.

Colour.

Not as good as the ogre one they did one or two years ago, but it's okay.

Also most companies will probably be doing April Fools today because coming in on a Saturday to do April Fools stuff is retarded.

Doesn't it just piss you off that Blizzard love pranks so much that they've withheld the race for so long just for that?

Also, check out the small easter egg in the SM pic. I wonder what class those two hotbar icons are making reference to? Someone deserves a swift kick to the jimmy.

I always liked Blizzard for this sort of thing. Always make me laugh, like their Pandaren Express, or their 2 Player character, the double headed Ogre. I like this one a lot, my favorite is the death message saying "Reroll Character" instead of "Relase" lol. Good stuff.

Blizzard uses April Fools as a test for future in-game stuff.

Treeform: Turns the wisp into a tree for 30 seconds. During this time, spirit is increased by 300. However, the wisp's chance to dodge or parry axes is reduced by 50%.

The Wisp's special ability. This is pretty good too.

I didn't think this one was a very good April fools joke. I mean the Wisp is obvious fake. How many MMO players would play a race that didn't display their Uber loot?

Registered just to make mention of the funniest part of the entire thing. One of the characters names is "Keanu" who happens to be the only Night Elf. Notice the little bubble over the Elfs head. Laugh.

The fake page was indeed very convinced but there was only one thing that did not convince at all : In the end, only one power was strong enough

I want exploding wisps! Now that seems useless. :P Could've been a more clever joke. Although knowing wizzard, the new alliance race they're introducing could end up being JUST as lame.
