It is unclear to me if it exclusive or will it be available in order places immediately after. But the game has caught my attention since they announce it. Yay for something different than the usual trolls/elves/orcs.

I'm excited about this title. Rise of Nations was a fantastic strategy game. I still have it installed on my computer, and play a game or 2 every month or so.
Its neat to see someone do something different rather than just put out a standard sequel. Lets hope it works out.

hehehe lol :)
Do you actually get to build cities in this game? The environment in the screens looks way too complex to be built by the player. Didn't want to spoil the game by reading reviews.
The only problem I had with the previous game was that once there were too many units, it became WAY too hectic. If they fixed that, this game will be excellent.

Gamespot doesnt do exclusives, they do premieres, meaning they get it first, but then everybody is free to mirror it afterwards
anyhow, the demo is available

Too many units?
I'm not even sure what you mean by that.
/Loves Civ IV and the bojillion units.
I guess I could understand how controlling them in real time could get to be a bitch. Not much of a real time strategy guy myself.

Woohoo! I had actually forgotten about this game in the excitement surrounding Oblivion but now that I have a machine that can actually run this properly, I'm excited again. *runs off to download the demo*

Wow, Big Huge really doesn't seem to be in a mood to compromise on graphics hardware for this one. I don't know if the final build will be this way, but it is pretty ugly on a 9800.
I really like their philosophy toward RTS, though, so I'm still excited. Lots of interesting concepts, the two playable factions each have plenty of options and differentiation. I think I found the Vinci more satisfying. It's a shame that the computer folds so easily and you can't adjust the skirmish difficulty (that I saw).

Yeah, you build big composite cities (with multiple copies of the same 4 parts), plus a variety of structures you can build anywhere in your territory.
RoN was a fine title, and it gave you good tools for managing all those units. It still kills me that Ensemble won't let you stick rally points on leader units, and have any new units automatically join the group of their leader. Those are the basics.

The demo is ok. The races are very different. The demo graphics aren't the cleanest/smoothest, but they are good. I only played 3 games. Im going back for the 4th.

No one is playing this? After spending some more time with it I really dig it. It has a ton of variety, many different types of research to do, and you cant research everything.
The graphics arent as charming as WarcraftIII or as cool as Dawn of War, but they are servicable. There are cool effects on special attacks and stuff like that.
The game has a ton of variety though.
