Bluesnews (http://www.bluesnews.com/) is reporting (http://www.bluesnews.com/cgi-bin/board.pl?action=viewthread&threadid=65929) that Tomb Raider: Legend has gone gold for the PC, PS2, Xbox and Xbox 360. The title is slated to dropped in to North American stores on April 11th.

I am acutally interested in getting this. It would be the first time I've played a Tomb Raider game since Tomb Raider II.

Will you be surprised if it turns out bad again?

Yeah baby! The game looks much better than the sequels. Any ideas if the PC version is on par with the X360 version?

From the look of the screen shots they've released, they appear to be identical.

It has me interested, I wonder if they managed to inject some proper fun into this one.

Angel of Darkness was so fucking awful. Thank goodness my copy was free...

My keyboard is acting horribly now, thanks. It's all gummed up.

Renting a copy when I get a chance. Hopefully it won't be full of suck, and the potential that this series always had will shine through.

Back to the game... What I don't get is that they left out the "wild animals". Some of the charm in the first game (which is what they are aiming for) was going up against wolves, dinos and crocs. Don't get me wrong, I'm not into animal cruelty or anything, it just strikes me as odd. Is it some sort of american political correctness or what? I asked some of the Eidos-guys last year at E3 but they just dismissed it as "animals are not part of the TR-gameplay"

I agree with Phades. That content immediately makes this site not safe for work. Perhaps a mod can do something about that? Language is one thing. No problem there but this crosses the line into lose you job, do not pass go, do not collect $200, go directly to unemployment.

Rather than the fix, could we not simply describe it as "NWS" or something along those lines?

Anything with Lara Croft=not necessarily WS/click at your own risk sorta thing, just in case...

Renting it unless I see some horrible review scores.

I'd pick up a good Tomb Raider game. My friend and I rented what I *think* was Tomb Raider II far back in the day. We had fun, but we were like... 12. I think our favorite part was laughing at Ms. Croft. If it's a good game, I'd pick it up. I don't have any experience with the later Tomb Raider games to sour my opinion, but I'll probably wait for some reviews.
