A demo forthe 360 flavor of Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII has been released on the Xbox Live! Marketplace.
It's great to have a chance to demo these games without having to wait for the OXM.

and 2 mins into downloading i'm 17 percent done.
Why do i feel like i'm the only one that has good download speeds on marketplace. Everything else I read complains about the speed.

Various? You mean the ONLY one....OXM. This mag is now rendered useless. :)

Fuck off, stop releasing games that I want to buy you assholes. If you break my wallet now, I will not be able to purchase more games in the future!

I took it as we can play them without having to wait what review scores it gets in various magazines.. I see you took it as we don't have to wait for OXM to actually play a demo. Curious. :D

I've played the demo, and I like it lots. There are some graphical things that I don't like about it however. There are framerate issues, and it's noticable when you hit the guns while facing the ground, and then pull up, the rate of fire noticably increases. The other thing I'm getting is a weird tearing paging thing going on. like the screen is being refreshed oddly. Anyone else getting these problems.
Hope these are fixed by the games release.

Are you playing it on an HDTV, or a standard TV? The 'tearing' is usually v-sync issues.

Wow. Five hours for a burnout demo is a long time. I hope it's worthwhile for you.

HDTV. The only time i've ever seen this sort of thing is when i'm doing something crazy in say PGR3, and i hit the guide button, and I see some sort of vsync craziness.

It could be that they haven’t locked their framerate since it’s just a demo. If it isn’t 30 or 60 you can get tearing on a TV. I haven’t tried it out myself yet, but I’m looking forward to it.

You mean the OXM that almost NEVER has demos of upcoming games? The one that demos old stuff month after month after month? OXM went downhill a long time ago unfortunantly.

I'm seeing the same tearing on my regular TV.
Damn if this game isn't fun though.
I see the tearing too on a HDTV.
Pros: Nice detail on the ground, great draw distance. Fancy smoke details. I like the chatter from the wingmen.
Cons: Is there such a thing as too arcadey? You can't fall out of the sky, no matter how slow and small of a radius your turns are. Game is way too easy, at least from the demo levels. I didn't die until defending the parliment building, and even then, I was really asking for it. One more gripe, as much as they try to make it seem like a large scale battle going on, the only targets you can take out are the ones assigned to you.
I'll hold off on buying this until I finish Oblivion and GRAW, and this is coming from someone who loves the genre.

Looking forward to playing this demo. If I like it however it will have to wait though. I'm in the same boat as everybody else here. I need to play the other games I got earlier this month before this :D
Nice position to be in I guess :)

hehehe lol..
I've spent £400 (GBP) on 8 games for the x360 so far, which is approximately $700 (USD).. I do love these demos on Live though, because Its helping me to decide whether or not to spend £50 on a game..

You're not alone, Watership. My download speeds are great too. I haven't grabbed BA demo yet (probably tonight when I get back from work, though!),but I nabbed the demo for The Outfit in around 5 minutes I guess (wasn't really county, started the download then went a did something else for a few while it downloaded).

The screen tearing and framerates in this thing are brutal. And since this is a mere day before release, it does not bode well for the final product. This just went from a must-buy to a rental for me. Shame.

I love this game (demo). After playing through the demo twice, I've not seen a single problem with screen tearing or any framerate drops. I've got a 48" LG LCD Rear Projection HDTV hooked up via component inputs.
