The first of the online reviews for Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII has popped up on TeamXbox. They gave it a 8.5 out of 10 (http://reviews.teamxbox.com/xbox-360/1139/Blazing-Angels-Squadrons-of-WWII/p1/) and had this to say about it.

The control scheme takes the tedium out of non-flight stick games involving dogfighting. While an argument could be made for having a cockpit view in Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII, the Follow Cam pretty much satisfies without having to go completely first-person...

...Wispy clouds, burning fighter plane carcasses, and London (among other cities) burning create an ever-changing horizon that is not only eerily beautiful, but also functional gameplay-wise. Combine the smoke and fog effects with a dark and gritty art style that’s executed perfectly, and you have one aesthetically pleasing title.
This game's been on my want list for some time. I just need to make room for it in the glut of games that are quickly rolling out.

Noooo!!

Too many games. Hang on already!! I need to catch up :D

This is on my want list too but I won't be getting it at launch. Too busy with the other games at the mo.

Yeah...this game looks tight. It's gonna have to wait a week or two before I even get a chance to play it.

I usually pick up games like this when I see a lot of people on my friends list playing ;)

I've been hooked on flying games since I got Pilotwings 64. Looks like an expensive month.

I have to say, no time in my long but clouded memory can I remember a launch with so many well reviewed games. I know the Dreamcast came close but this is WAY beyond that.

Damnit, my play list keeps getting longer and longer and ive still yet to beat any of the 5 games I have already. Plus, this is getting friggin expensive. This game does look like a bloody good time though. Wonder how replay is.

I don't get this. They mention NO flaws in the review AT ALL, yet it's a B-game (85%). Why isn't it a 9.5?

I'm not saying it should get a 9.5, mind you, but I'm just wondering why they docked the game a point and a half without explaining why.

I'll be picking up my copy this afternoon. Too. Many. Great. Games.

Note to developer and publishers: the above statement is not a complaint, please keep up the sterling work. :)

The Dance Dance Revolution "healing game" sounds like a sure mood killer.

Reviews are so subjective these days. I have seen this kinda shit so many times that frankly I listen to opinions on places like Evil Avatar more then I do reviews. ( Plus I know who the fanboy morons are here, and can judge appropriatly :) ).

All to often, especially in PC Gamer, I saw reviews like... "Oh, it executed flawlessly, as far as flight sims go, their are no better games available. Oh, but I think flight sims in general suck, so I give it a 65 %".

After reading stuff like that over and over, you quickly learn not to care anymore. Hell, I once read a review that took points of a review for a "Greatest Hits" collection, for not being origonal enough. Um, wtf?
