So why are they using music from The Lord of the Rings (movies)? Just curious.

Pretty sure its actually a refrain from the song Ferelden At War by Inon Zur. The music in Dragon Age certainly apes the feel of the LotR movies in many ways but I'm 99% sure that came from the DA soundtrack and not the Peter Jackson films.
