GameSpot (http://www.gamespot.com) has the details (http://www.gamespot.com/news/2006/03/20/news_6146216.html?part=rss&tag=gs_&subj=6146216).

Warner Bros. reveals developer of DC Comics-based action adventure; now planned for PSP release, as well as PS2 and Xbox.

Last July, Warner Bros. Interactive announced that it was working on a Justice League of America game for the PlayStation 2 and the Xbox. Then, like Batman pulling a trademark disappearing act from Commissioner Gordon's office, it was gone, with nary a peep out of Warner about the project--until today.

Emerging from its Fortress of Solitude, the action adventure game with role-playing elements has been officially titled Justice League Heroes. It's also now slated for release on the PlayStation Portable, as well as the Xbox and the PS2, and Warner Bros. Interactive has finally revealed the game's developer, Snowblind Studios.

Snowblind Studios is no stranger to action adventure games with role-playing elements. It developed Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance for the PS2, Xbox, and GameCube, as well as Champions of Norrath: Realms of EverQuest and Champions: Return to Arms for the PS2.

With a cast of do-gooders including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Zatanna, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern, and more to be unlocked, players can play through the game on their own or with a friend. Warner is promising destructible environments for players to tear up with their upgradeable powers.
No GameCube or DS love...

Does anyone even care about the Xbox, PS2 or PSP these days? Especially with G.R.A.W., Oblivion, etc. rolling out for the 360.

I do! Well hoping they make an emulation so I can play this on my 360. I want my Martian Manhunter!

Err wait, I didn't mean it that way.

I guess Justice League of America is too uncool. Freedom Fries anyone?

"Wonder Twins Power A-C-T-I-V-A-T-E"

Considering how many people still don't own a 360 (like Me), I'm sure there are people interested in this. I wonder if this will play like X-men Legends 2.

No GameCube or DS love...Do we really care that this potential pile of waste is not available for the Cube or DS? Their libraries will likely be better off without them. DC hasn't managed a good licensed product in...well...ever. :D

while i am saddened that there is no GC love, i am exited nonetheless.. so weird that JLU and teen titans get cancelled only to have games out post mortem.. speaking of the teen titans brawler looks hella fun.

Just from that quick synopsis, this is totally X-Men Legends repackaged with the JLA. I'm torn whether that's a good thing or not.

This sounds just like X-Men Legends.

I just want to know one thing: If you are incapable of making a good Super-man game, or a good Batman game, how the hell can you make a good JLU game?

Thank you. :D

And it is especially bad form to use the term "do-gooders" in your press release.

If you don't like it, Jason Hall comes to your house and punches you. In the face.

Justice League is the stupidest concept ever.

I mean, does Superman really need to be part of a team, LoL.

I'm imagining either X-Men Legends with DC characters (yay), or some sort of monstrous, Lovecraftian horror crawling forth from the spawning grounds of the Aquaman game.

Nice. If this does end up being just like X-Men Legends but with DC characters, I'll love it. At the very least, I hope it's good, even if it does go away from that formula.

Given Snowblind's top-down, button-masher track record, that's all I'm expecting here.

I would love to get a JLA co-op brawler, but alas... :(
