Mods, apologies if this has been tried before and failed, but I hadn't seen it, and I'd like to give it a try.
I like living in Australia, mostly. We got lots of wonderful things, but a competitive game retail industry is not one of them. This leads to local retailers leaning on publishers to raise their prices on Steam. Hence the stupid USD80.00 for Borderlands, USD90.00 for MW2, and now $40 for Chaos Rising. Less of a gouge than has happened before, but a gouge too far nonetheless.
Were I a younger, angrier person, I'd just turn to piracy, but I don't mind paying for games, provided I'm paying a fair price. I'd like somebody in a more price-competitive part of the world (which rules out most of Europe) to buy it for me on Steam, then gift it to me.
I'm happy to send you the money up-front via Paypal (PM me for details). You'd be striking a blow for the free market. And Freedom. Don't you love Freedom?
