Lionhead Studios and Activision sent out a press release confirming the first 'The Movies' expansion pack, entitled 'The Movies: Stunts and Effects.'

This article from totalvideogames.com (http://www.totalvideogames.com/news/Activision_Confirms_Stunts_&_Effects_9522_5469_0.htm) has the blurb:

Upping the ante on movie production, the expansion pack adds a plethora of new features such as stuntmen and a range of outlandish stunts, a movie-making toolset, astounding visual effects, new sets and a number of brand new techniques and technologies which can be used when making movies.

What's the latest word on whether or not this game will see life on a console? I seem to recall hearing conflicting reports regarding that.

There really is plenty of stuff to make amateur shots and really good if your interested in the composition of a film.

That said.

The single player can eat my balls. I don't feel like micromanaging my movie stars, when a few options to put stuff on auto would have done the trick.

I thought this game was highly, highly over rated.

I haven't seen a film done by it yet that actually looked interesting.

Wow Perigon, way to get with the negative? Care to give any specifics of this suckage you speak of? (Me honestly curious, coz my friends and I were totally captivated by it ..admittedly never having played a Lionhead-flavour game before.)

Me, I'm quite keen to check it out. I would agree with whoever posted that it would be nice for some of the management aspects to be able to become automated after a time. ..I don't feel a game is particularly strategic when you're just rushing around trying not to forget everything. But fortunately there is much that doesn't *have* to be managed to keep on going. ..I'll be checking out this expansion, I think. I'm just wondering whether the game *needs* any more complexity to it. :)

And you never saw any impressive movies Thenetcase? Maybe it's more the -process- that is the fun of the game, eh? (I know I've made some that my friends found hillarious .. and vice versa. And I still find the random ones to be fun to watch.)
