Damn. I'm not sure if I should buy this or not. I rarely play SF as it is. I am looking forward, however, to Armored Fury or whatever it is.

This is an add on for Regular BF2, not an expansion pack/different game like SF.

Euro Force, North America Only... I'm sure there's a joke/political statement/irony in there somewhere, I'm just too lazy to actually work it out.

I assume you will be buying this Uber; let us know if it's worth it or not.

Jebus... Tried to log into the system (EA's) But they state my name is in use already (Who is using my name? ;P ) So I goto to retrieve password with my name.. States my Name doesn't exist....
This isn't starting well...

I had the same problem and realized that they already reserve AOL names for people. So if your login name is the same as your AOL name, put in your AOL name and PW. Kinda stupid.

I'm having the same problem, tried the same tack... still having the problem. =(
It shouldn't have to be this hard for me to give them money. *sigh*

It was pretty quick for me to get it ordered.
Did you guys try retrieving the user_id based on your email address?

Well finally got in.. you also need to know your Gamespy ID info.. In doing the original EA account info.. they sent me my old Ultima Online account names!!!! Cripes, I hope this friggin works...

You can re-associate the Europack to different BF2/Gamespy accounts as well apparently.

Apparently you can only play with a single username registered to a single copy. You can change this 'up to 3 times a week' which sucks for people like myself that play on a couple of different IDs depending on what I'm doing (sniping, etc).

Jesus god damned mother fucking bitch ass christ...
FINALLY got in... after getting past the initial EA horse shit, I then I have to submit a Gayspy login? So I somehow manage to fucking dredge that shit up from the dark dusty corners of my fucking memory and THEN I have to download the fucking thing with their propriety fucking downloader software? Which, according to them: "EA downloader gets you in the game faster."
My fucking ass... 20 minutes to download a lousy 352 megs? What the fuck, are they piping that shit out through a straw? I should be pulling that stuff down in 5 minutes, tops. I'm sure they're getting pounded, but this fucking download time on top of the rest of the fucking aggravation to even GET to it is just fucking bullshit.
If anybody from EA is reading, this method of getting the bonus pack sucks my hairy, unwashed asshole. There are about a dozen better ways to do this. Feel free to contact me after you fire whatever goatfuck saddled you with this shit and I'll clue you guys in.

This distribution and User name BS is so bad for my Gaming cafe. EA blows.

Alright... what the FUCK am I not doing right here? I've gone through the fucking bullshit to get this pack, paid for it, DOWNLOADED IT, INSTALLED IT, and clicked fucking PLAY from their god damned downloader, and when I try to get into a new map in either single or multiplay, I get a god damned fucking message that I need to have it installed and must play with my online account to access... well what the fuck are they talking about?
God fucking DAMN this is some fucked up shit.

I have to chime in too... why only North America?
Is it that tough to take money from a foreign Mastercard nowdays?

I was going to complain about how it's only available to North American customers( i mean, that's a benefit of online distribution, global rollout) but it sounds like you guys are having too much fun with it.

Can someone please help me with this? I put in all my information, downloaded the EA downloader, now when I try to run EA Downloader, I get this little popup that just reads "Core" and a button on it saying "OK". Press OK and then get a big black window that just sits there and does nothing. Right click on the friendly new icon in my system tray, click "log in" and the same stupid black window. What am I doing wrong?
I think "fun" is the operative word here. For those of us who are polite anyways. For myself on the other hand, I'm about ready to kick something.
Yeppers, this is fun.
/edit
Okay, this is way above annoying. Still not working. And where is the friendly phone number for EA support?
/second edit
Finally got it fixed and I'm happily downloading the game.
For anyone else having a similar problem IE7 beta will not work with EA downloader, meaning you can't even have it installed on your system. Uninstalling IE7 Beta is a bit of a feat too, you have to enable "view updates" in Add/Remove programs.

I didn't actually download it - I might, someday - but by changing the "Select your region" option in the top right, you can, well, select your region. When I changed it to UK, the page then said "for UK residents only".
As funny as it would have been, I don't think EA are stupid enough to have Euro Force as American only.

im having so much with the BF2 series that when i finally uninstalled it i felt like i just finished hauling my old car to the junk yard. Sure I gotta a ride the bus now, but what a pain in the ass that car was.
Why the fuck is this DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT called EURO Force Yank-only?
Idiots.
..ok, I just checked and it is NOT NA only. Change the OP.

as you battle for control of all-new Asian locations.
... just to add to the amusement.
Well worth it, if you get it to work.
My happy error was a bad crc on the download, but ignoring it seems to have no repurcussions.
It wouldn't be BF2 if it didn't fight you.

Fucking finally. >=[
For whatever fuckassed reason, it was trying to login with a gamespy account other than the one I specified when I bought Euro Force (apprently over the years I've been compelled to create 3 accounts). I finally picked the right one on the 3rd try specifying in my EA account, etc etc.
I'm glad as all fuck I got this going, but god fucking damn, this was just complete bullshit. WAY TOO fucking overworked for 10 god damned dollars worth of content; and broke as all fuck to boot.
If EA as a collective entity had nuts, I'd fucking plant my foot there at high velocity.
BUGS! Post em if you got em. Besides installation and connecting ones.
- The Invincible Challenger. Sometimes it just won't die. Not to direct hit bombs, multi C4, or direct arty strikes.
- Invisi-crash. The gentlest landings will sometimes blow you up. Trying to land anywhere but a pad will usually blow you up if there's any geometry around.
- Backflipping Tigers! Sometimes the Eurocopter feels frisky, and spontaneously barrel rolls. On the ground. With no power to the rotors. Even if you're just in the gunner's seat with no pilot.
- In-cockpit TKs! I've been TK'd as the pilot of the Eurocopter by my own gunner.

So now that we know EA's digital distribution sucks, how is the game itself? Worth the 10 bucks?

Ooo, thats good. If it's north america only I won't have to decide if I should buy it or not, like I did(n't) with the expansion

I did do the download and I got to try a few weaps, but still gotta expand my knowledge...Special Forces has me addicted...even took some time off of WoW to make rank. Now thats a change!

I'd say the content is worth the $10.
After the aggravation to get it, and then the aggravation of getting it to work, however, leaves them owing me $20.
Dumbfucks.

I love bf2. but I won't be buying this or the other pack until they get their heads on straight. the 1.2 patch was pathetic. the 1.21 patch isn't much better. germany has had euroforce for a while but ea must have ignored the beta testers. if bf weren't such a great game I would have abandoned it long ago

ROFL. Okay there, chief. I downloaded the Act of War demo at 1.8MB/sec, and it still took 7 minutes. I'm pretty sure your standard connection isn't going to drop 350mb in 5 minutes.

EA's password thing is a joke. I hate it.
In related news: Battlefield 2 is still inferior in every way to Joint Operations EXCEPT one way-- it has airplanes. Oh well. Joint Ops 2 will have them as well.

It takes me ~20 minutes to download 1gb on my connection.
I could easily download 350mb in ten minutes if I was getting my full 600K down.
I have Road Runner cable connection. Nothing special.

Trust me on this one, my good friend...I routinely pull stuff down that fast (or faster). Pulling down a gig takes just enough time for me to go pinch a loaf and wash my hands, so this should have been quicker than greased snail snot.

Nite_Moogle:
In my couple hours of playtime last night, I was very impressed. I played a fair amount of Operation Smoke Screen, and Great Wall, and a limited amount of Tabra Quarry.
Tabra Quarry and Operation Smoke Screen are HUGE armour battles with aircover and AAA assets playing a prominent role. I can't wait to see what "armoured fury" adds to the mix.
