I just played the demo and it crashed my PS3. I went to talk to some journalist outside the crime scene and the video display went all black and it sounded like a dump truck crashed into my living room. Ultra immersion!

Is Heavy Rain really that good? Game Informer praised it, making it sound like a game based ENTIRELY upon decisions you make. I'm curious as to how this translates to gameplay, and what genre the gameplay fits.

It feels like your watching a movie in which you can control how the plot develops. Almost akin to the laserdisc games we've been talking about alot recently around here.

It's interesting to say the least. But its almost like you cant fully appreciate it until you play it multiple times to actual witness the changes.

The Heavy Rain demo was quite good. I missed the journalist outside the crime scene, I'll have to try it again.

And while it isn't a dealbreaker for me, I don't like how your character is controlled (hold R2 to walk forward, left stick to turn). I read it had something to do with making the fixed cameras transitions less jarring, I think a Silent Hill 3 (for example) method works better for game with a fixed camera... move the stick in the direction you want to go and if the camera changes you keep moving forward until you move the stick. Kinda hard to explain but if you've played both the demo and SH3 you know what I mean.
