Silicon Era (http://www.siliconera.com/2010/02/12/here-have-some-final-fantasy-xiii-xbox-360-vs-ps3-comparison-screenshots/) has a grip of screenshots up that show off the difference between the PS3 and 360 versions of Final Fantasy XIII. Well, the picutres are supposed to be different, but honestly, I really can't tell the difference in most of them. Take a look (http://www.siliconera.com/2010/02/12/here-have-some-final-fantasy-xiii-xbox-360-vs-ps3-comparison-screenshots/) for yourself and report back.

Update: To hell with this, I've posted a new story (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=106171).

I need screenshots that do that overlapping thing to tell a difference and even then it would probably be minute. Plus, we really need to see the game in motion and compare load times to get a good feel of the difference.

Personally, my choice is made by the fact that I have a 360 and don't yet have a PS3 anyway (though I'd love to get one).

From these screenshots it is really hard to tell the difference. If I decide to get the game I would get the PS3 version just so I would not have to play disc shuffle.

I'll get whatever version has the fastest load times for battles.

Seriously. In a game where i'm expecting to fight as many enemies as this one, that will make a HUGE difference.

You make an excellent point Syl... for people looking to play one of these here games. From what I understand though, you'll be waiting around a lot to actually play it (not due to load times, due to cutscenes)

I'll be picking it up for the PS3 solely for the fact that I have way more 360 games on my shelf than Wii/GC/360/DS and I have an OCD fit every time I look at my collection :o

Also, it somewhat bothers me how much I hear complaining about disc swapping. It's not like you have to swap every 5 minutes or something. Those who complain make all of us gamers look like the laziest bastards on earth.

I dunno, I call bullshit on those shots. I find it hard to believe that they are exactly the same minus the button mapping icons. Also, to get the exact same point in an action from two different systems would be very difficult. There is literally no change in position of anything. At least in the first two comparisons I looked at.

This. You guys are tards if you think those are actual comparison shots.

Exactly. These are not comparison shots. I don't know why they would fake it - but they did. The screen are absolutely identical - even down to the damn pixels, save for the button changes. Even if those come from Enix - it's just bullshot.

You guys are absolutely right. I just downloaded a "comparison" image, put them into photoshop then pasted one over the other and toggled layers... EXACT same, except for the buttons. Not even a pixel shift. This is fucking bullshit.

Well...at least the community did what you asked.

Screwed up their links by posting the exact same shots but photoshopped in 360 buttons? Yeahhhhh

Why is it so hard to believe that they did a great job with the port? Seriously, it's not some big conspiracy here.

It's an action shot. Action shots are never identical. Even if you compared PS3 to PS3 (or 360 to 360), they in-game, non-cutscene action is never identical.

To be fair, isn't Final Fantasy XIII a turn based game with repeatable combat animations?

Re-reading my post, it does sound pretty "nerd-rage"y.

I just agree with the group saying that two screenshots from two different playthroughs would not be exactly the same.
Watch the side-by-side Bayonetta videos. The action links up during the falling clock cutscene, but the falling clock user-controlled battle has plenty of randomosity.

Granted, FF battles are only controlling the character at a high level, but still...
