From the team that brought you Cloning Clyde comes there next action-adventure platformer Ancients of Ooga. While not a sequel to Cloning Clyde it will be the spiritual successor. The NinjaBee Blog (http://www.ninjabee.com/blog/index.html) has more screens and info on this 2010 XBLA game.
The Ooganis aren’t your typical heroes, said Brent Fox, NinjaBee’s art director. But that’s what makes this game so fun to play. They’re quirky, bizarre, and at times borderline foul. An Oogani’s world is centered around eating. You have to eat, chant, dance and even puke your way through the primeval land of Ooga. This is definitely the most gluttonous game you’ll play in 2010 – it’s gonna be out of this world!
I loved Cloning Clyde for how different and unique it was.

Personally, I'm happier that they're making a Kingdom for Keflings sequel.

Cloning Clyde is a hoot! I doubt very highly that I will be able to resist Ooga. Looks great!

You know, somehow I've never actually given Cloning Clyde a try, even though I've always heard positive word of mouth about it. Maybe I should try it out before this comes along so I'm aware of the Successee for which Ooga will be the Successor. :)

Best developer on XBLA - cant' wait for this. I've never understood why the gaming media doesn't fawn over them the way they do the PixelJunk guys (Q-games).

Cloning Clyde was very, very, very much inspired by the early Oddworld games. So similar, in fact, I'd almost call it a...well, a clone. Whether NinjaBee admits to it or not, it's too similar to be a mere coincidence.
It was still one of the gems of the Arcade's earlier days, though. I'm glad to see more come out of that studio.

Part of it probably has to do with the fact that NinjaBee's games look like ass by comparison. With the exception of Racers, the Pixeljunk series is quite gorgeous; they're playable art that also happens to be very solid games.
Besides, Cloning Clyde is their only standout title thus far. Band of Bugs? Please...

Oh please. Outpost Kaloki X, Kingdom for Keflings and Band of Bugs are all solid games. The Pixeljunk games are hardly gorgeous (and show a distinct lack of artistic variety) and calling them "playable art" is laughable. Besides, there are far more important things to games than the way they look.
