This weekend on Steam you can purchase Crytek's shooter, Far Cry (http://store.steampowered.com/app/13520/) ($4.99), and Ubisoft Montreal's sequel, Far Cry 2: Fortune's Edition (http://store.steampowered.com/app/19900/) ($9.99), at 50% off. Or you can get them both in the Far Cry Complete (http://store.steampowered.com/sub/2863/) pack for $14.98. Far Cry 2:

You are a gun for hire, trapped in a war-torn African state, stricken with malaria and forced to make deals with corrupt warlords on both sides of the conflict in order to make this country your home.

You must identify and exploit your enemies' weaknesses, neutralizing their superior numbers and firepower with surprise, subversion, cunning and of course brute force.

So it's 10$, but in EU it costs 15 Euros ? Taking into account the exchange values, that's double price ! WTF

Not that it explains the huge difference in price. I'm curious if Europeans are getting hit with something in the neighborhood of a 20% tax hidden in the price of their digital purchases.

As usual, retail copy is a lot cheaper than 50% off Steam price, in Europe. The magical number to Steam actually being cheaper is in the 75-80% range with most games.

mmmm. anyone playing this online? Any mods?I just checked out a few different play modes and custom severs for you. There was a decent number of people playing as far as I could tell. There was enough around that you could get in on a game in the mode of your choosing anyway. Bear in mind games usually get a boost when Steam is running a sale.

Far Cry 2 is worth getting for the solo campaign alone if you like open world shooters. It has a lengthy campaign and a good amount of real estate.

Check this page (http://www.moddb.com/games/far-cry-2) at Mod DB for Far Cry 2 mods and add-ons.

So says the guy from Arizona! If I owned a home in California, Arizona, or Florida, I'd be pretty depressed as well. As it is, I'm...NOT, because I...DON'T! ;)
