Major Nelson (http://twitter.com/majornelson/status/8345632183) just tweeted that he's got two pictures from the next downloadable content to grace Borderlands: The Secret Armory of General Knoxx.

Screenshots of the Borderlands DLC (The Secret Armory of General Knoxx) just landed in my inbox. Can't Wait!

Check them out after the jump.

Get it. You'll like the intro and fighting Pumpking Head and the Tomb Raider 1 type boss in the end (you know the guy with no legs huge arms undead).

The Moxxy one...it is pretty MEH if you play by yourself.

WooHoo! New weapons, cars, and areas to play sounds great.

I'm just about to finish my first playthrough this weekend. I've easily had ten-fold the fun in Borderlands than in MW2.

You'll beat the last boss guarding the armory (who will drop a green and a few pieces of vendor trash), and then you'll find out that the armory doesn't actually exist, and is just a metaphor for the human spirit.

What are the chances of them making that mistake twice.

Either way, I look forward for any excuse to dive back into Borderlands.

(One of the stupidest endings i had ever had the displeasure of reading ahead on wikipedia before I had even bought the game).

I'm so excited...haven't even touched the game. Got DAO going on right now. But it's so tempting. Glad they are supporting it.

Can anyone clarify what to do after the final fight? I was only lvl 32 or so and then I kill that thing and thats it? Just go farm? Do a second playthrough which would be painfully easy? Online play is practically broken...

No, that's actually an awesome ending. I thought it would be something boringly conventional.

Remember, this is basically Diablo. What did you do in that after beating Diablo or Baal?
You restarted on a higher difficulty, that's what.

The second playthrough is the best since the experience and loot is crazy. You start to see $4,000+ in those little tool boxes for example, instead of the measly $200 or so. The exp is ramped up so you'll be leveling up to the cap in no time. Speaking of which, I can't wait to find out what the new level cap is going to be raised to with this 3rd installment. Hopefully it will be more then 10 levels.

The second play-through is actually a lot more fun than the first. If you skip a lot of the side-quests, the story missions can quickly become "hard" or "tough" and they throw a lot more enemies at you. Once you beat it the second time, going through the side missions with every enemy at level 50/51 is not what I would call "painfully easy."

Online play is only broken because of the modded weapons. Once they get rid of those, which should happen in the next patch, online play should get a lot better.

Borderlands continues to be my top game of 2009. Seriously, I didn't think it'd have legs like this.

I have games with better graphics and games with better story, but for some reason they collect dust while I keep going back to Borderlands.
I just hope this is more like the zombie island dlc than the last one...

Wait a second: Borderlands is Diablo with guns? Really? How did I miss that?

I need this game. I'm a loot fiend. :D

Yeah, it totally is. Beware though the inventory management is a little bit of a hassle and don't get too depressed if you don't find anything super amazing in the first playthrough. On the second playthrough is when guns really start dropping like candy.

Also something I didn't learn to late on is that in the description, if there is a line in red, then that is some sort of special effect. There is a whole list somewhere on what they all mean, like infinite ammo or the shotgun spread makes a smilely face.

The end was dissapointing to me because I want to walk into a huge store of awesome weapons or something. The drops from the last boss were a little limp. But jumping right into another playthrough after that makes it totally worth it. The second time round there are a lot more enemies, I had to kill like a million skaggs in just the first place.
