Screenshots at last. The latest Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning newsletter has put forth several screenshots along with new conceptual art pieces of the upcoming MMO.

Dig these up over at Warhammer Alliance (http://www.warhammeralliance.net).

So, I'm not up to the play with Warhammer, but is it meant to be just dwarves vs orcs?

afaik its dwarfs humands highelves vs. orcs darkelves and goblins i think

im looking very much forward to this game and hope mythic takes all their (pvp) expierience from daoc including the mistakes they made and all the stuff from wow 1-59 pve wise and make a really good pvp centered mmorpg after my taste ;)

i know sooo many people who just wait for a viable alternative to world of sensless timesink and this is the most likely.

seems like this game is pretty much pvp centered, also for char progression, which is good.

This one has potential. As a WFRP player ages ago I am interested in this if they can give us some classic WH locations, monsters and professions (especially the magic ones).

Games Workshop is such a copycat. First they ripped off Warcraft 1 & 2 and Starcraft and made their models to look just like the ones in the Blizzard games. Now they are copying WoW! Somebody stop these guys!

I really hope thats sarcasm.

GW predates Warcraft by over ten years.

GW predates Warcraft by over ten years.

It's made of pure sarcasmite, soaked in sarcasm juice, then deep-fried in sarcasmic oil in order to be raised up to the mighty god Sar'cazm.

It is a worthy offering.

Sounds delicious

Also, I was really bummed when the cancelled the previous incarnation of this game. I'm looking forward to this, especially if they include Skaven and Chaos.

Ah... now THESE shots are MUCH better than the plastic, sterile shit they released a year or so ago... THIS I can have an interest in... they really have the look right now. Now let's just hope they've got the Warhammer feel to it.

And that I get a big raise so I can afford it on top of WoW and CoH/V. ;)

This is because it's being done by a different team now, built again from the ground up. Feel free to completely disregard all of the old stuff.

Blizzard? Rip off GW? You MUST be joking. *snicker* The sad thing is it probably won't be anywhere close to as popular as it's derivative.

well that remains to be seen ;) blizz is making many idiotic desicions lately, most of the guys i know are veteran daoc players, many already stopped palying the others will too if there is a good more pvp centered game coming out. add on top of that the fans of the tabletop and i think there is a good costumerbase. maybe not as big as wow but i consider that a good thing ;)

I wonder how they will deal with the fact that in the system certain dwarves are immune to magic.

looks like it will be a lot of fun, i had a great time with DAoC, and if this combines that with the backstory of Warhammer i am sold.

Dammit, I want my chaos troops. Stupid orks.

If anyone can make this game fun, It'll be the Mythic crew.

Uh... if it has Cursed Riders... something... I forge tthe name (been so long). The Dark Elves that ride Raptors. If I can be that, I'm buying this game.

They shouldn't have Lizardmen, because they're a new race (only been out for, what, ten years?). Besides, Lustria is supposed to be a separate continent, with little interaction between them and the rest of the world. And how could you convince someone to play a skink instead of a Kroxigor?

Mmmm, dwarf trollslayers. Instead of sinking their cash into this project that won't be done for years, how about a Blood Bowl game with the updated rules? And decent graphics?

(oh, HardScores, you're thinking of the Cold One riders)

After reading the PC Gamer article, I give thumbs up to the birthing of this game.

Here is another plus: all signs point to Sanya Thomas manning the front of the CMing for WAR. They need to put that in the ads because anyone who knows Mythic knows they have some darn good customer relations.

Skink shamen are pretty cool. I also had a hero take on and beat Queek Headtaker on 2 seperate occasions. I called him Quexovercoatl.

A Blood Bowl game would also be ace. Did you ever try Mutant League Football?

So, uh, not to interrupt everyone's nerdgasm... am I the only one who thinks those screens look bland and shallow? Sure WoW has showed high-quality low-poly avatars can be sold to gamers.... but the 'high quality' part is pretty important imo.
