Gearbox designer Jason "haTts" Reiss has made a brief post (http://gbxforums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?t=94772) to the Gearbox forums indicating that more Borderlands DLC is on the way -- including raising the level cap.

Sorry, I haven’t gotten to post on the forums in a while! After finalizing Zombies DLC, the team and I began reading the DLC feedback around the forums on the wants and desires. Guess what, level cap increase anyone? Got it and it's awesome. Hopefully we can get a full announcement out to you guys soon but, man is this the biggest DLC we have made. So don’t worry, we are working really hard right now on both the update (that solves a bunch of issues) and the DLC. More to come guys!!

Awesome! Didn't care for Mad Moxxi's, but I loved The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned.

Awesome news. As long as its more 'Zombie Island' and less 'Underdome'.

Everyone always wants better weapons and a higher level cap. The balance is already completely skewed in favor of the player. They'll need to ramp of the difficulty drastically for this to work. [Crosses fingers with high hopes for awesome]

I am looking forward for any reason to play until Crackdown 2 comes out.

I really wish they'd fix the multiplayer on the PC before trying to sell us yet another $10 pack. Hopefully when they say, "biggest DLC pack" they don't mean, "we're going to take a commonly requested feature (such as the bank) and charge $10 for it, and maybe throw some boobies in too."

I agree that raising the level cap isn't such a huge deal. Guild Wars proved that you don't need to raise the level cap to keep the game fresh, interesting, and challenging. World of Warcraft proved that if you raise the level cap once, the fans will be quiet for all of a week before demanding you raise it again.

I passed on both dlc's. I want the patch where give you storage.

I haven't read anything about the patch including a storage system.

That feature was implemented via DLC (Mad Moxie).

I haven't been disappointed in the least by their DLC. Mad Moxxi is totally worth it if you have a good multiplayer partner or 3. And the Zombie Island was a TON of funny content with a great storyline.

We don't need stronger weapons trust me. The pearl (rare) weapons are amazing that and everybody has at least 12 modded weapons just for bragging.

A recent patch was supposed to kill the modded weapons. I personally have weapons that have dropped that i feel would be almost impossible to surpass.

Although i guess with an increased level cap would also be an increased weapon level cap. Which is pretty awesome.

My point was that storage should've been included in the game, not added after the fact to hose the suckers. Otherwise, the game is better than fallout.

I played a friends copy, glad I held off getting this because I would be pissed to still have the need to constantly by the DLC to get the completed game. I will wait till the goty edition to buy it. :)

And what if Borderlands never gets a goty award. Will there still be a goty edition? Can there be? Is that even legal?

They'll just call it "gold edition" or "platinum edition" or "the complete experience" or some other moniker.

Personally, I'm hoping for more combat in the style of Old Haven - ranged combat in tactically interesting areas, with decently challenging enemies that drop varied and interesting equipment. I would also hope for something a bit more single-player compatible than the Moxxi expansion. Basically, I don't need something all that new and different - just take the parts of the game that work well and are fun to play, and add more of that.

Borderlands needs a 50 slot shared storage crate implemented into the teleporter markers.

Old Haven is the one place I can keep coming back to in the SP mode. You're absolutely right that they need more inner-city, yet long-range combat with tactical enviros.

A large city with a sprawling population would make Borderlands complete in my book.
