Oohhh an incredibly expensive week for me. Around 12 titles for me to pull and plenty for everyone to enjoy.
- DC (http://www.dccomics.com) - Marvel (http://www.marvel.com)- Image (http://www.imagecomics.com) - Top Cow (http://www.topcow.com) - Dark Horse (http://www.darkhorse.com) - IDW (http://www.idwpublishing.com/)- Aspen (http://www.aspencomics.com/) - Wildstorm (http://www.dccomics.com/wildstorm/) -
The Outsiders #26
Dan DiDio has the writing bug again huh? The latest Outsiders arcs have been strong, in my opinion the big man at DC has a lot to live up-to. You've also got the excellent Phillip Tan on board as well so the tales should work on both sides of the story...hopefully. A 'certain Kryptonian' will be joining the team under Geo-Force's influence. I assume that'll be Supes although I may end up being wrong. Expect this to roll on into the Return of Bruce Wayne.
Starman #81
James Robinson returns to Starman for one more issue in probably the most 'sure fire hit' of the Blackest Night book revivals. Find out which Starman has returned to mess up some stuff. Shade decides he'd rather just hang around with Hope O'Dare. Plenty of detective, but not super-hero, fun in what hopefully ends up being a part of a legacy rather than a cash-in.
Invincible #70
We hit another issue milestone as Kirkman's best book (by far) continues to go from strength to strength. The art is amazing, the story is excellent and we keep getting teased about the Viltrumite War. Sequid(s) are back with a vengeance and seem stronger than ever before. Can Invincible overcome the overwhelming without compromising his values? This may well be the point that the son of Omni-Man finally cracks.
By the way, this is in Diamond's shipping list for this week but isn't set until next week on Image's site. I'll stick with the distributors and get my hopes up.
Amazing Spider-Man #618
Awww, what? Mysterio is back? I love Mysterio. I never buy Spider-Man comics, I probably still won't, but the return of this villain will be enough cause for me to flick through. This is the beginning of a new arc that promises plenty of intrigue given that we're dealing with the dead. There's plenty of resurrection floating around lately but I'm expecting a twist.
