Microsoft Game Studios and Ensemble Studios announced today that Age of Empires III will get its first, yet unnamed, expansion pack, providing players with the ability to lead one of three proud Native American civilizations, including the Iroquois Confederation, to expand their empire and fight for control of the Americas. The AoE III expansion is scheduled for later this year.

I can't wait!
On the other hand, I seriously hope they put a Save Game feature back in Multiplayer!!

Was this announced a while ago? For some reason I remember old chatter of AOE3 expansion with new native teams to play as... Weird, I think im going crazy.

An Ages games gets an expansion?? :p

Sweet, I love AOE3. I just played a game last nite for the first time in awhile and kicked some ass on the Amazon river.

I loved Age of Empires 2, but I just don't care about this game at all. It was so cliche and boring to me. The RTS genre as a whole just needs to retire for a while.

I dunno... there's been some really nice offerings in RTS lately, what with Warhammer 40K, and more recently Star Wars Empire at War. Maybe Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth 2 (I liked the first one okay, this one is supposed to be much better... I bought it but haven't had a chance to check it out yet).

I liked Age of Empires II. I loved (still love, actually) Age of Mythology, even though as with all RTS games I pretty much suck. But I have to admit I'm not in a rush to buy AoE III for some reason, despite how gorgeous the screens I've seen look. Probably because I know how shitty I am at this stuff, I'll never have anything that looks that good, but whatever, LOL... once the price comes down a good deal I'm sure I'll nab it on the cheap.
