This first trailer tried to answer the question "How Naughty is Naughty Bear? (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103735&highlight=naughty+bear)". Now we get to see, or hear, just how Naughty he may really be.

YouTube has been giving me fits for the past couple of days so the video might not load right away.

Ok... so we still know nothing about the game... except maybe it has something do with the bear getting revenge...

But I will say the video did seem a bit creepy this time, which I guess is cool if you're going to make a game called Naughty Bear.

The artwork looks so last-generation I'm guessing this is a Wii title.

Looks like Conker, only with ++Sadism and --Humor.

360 and PS3, apparently.

Man, this just proves I'm evil. I found that to be freaking funny. I know for a fact, though, if it had been people rather than stuffed teddy bears, I wouldn't have found it funny. Still though, the fuzz floating at the end was great.

So far the trailers are doing a good job of piquing my interest in the game, I especially laughed at this one.

Even without sound on this PC, I still chuckled a couple of times at that.

I'm not into it. Conker did it 10 times better.

This looks like a REALLY dumb version of Conker.

This.

The trailers seem mildly amusing, but they're doing nothing to make me want to play this game.

Not seeing the allure or marketability

Both of these trailers have been very poorly handled as well. They should've been put together in a single trailer and presented with a completed narrative.

The first trailer seems to be the product of an exuberant soul too itching to get the name out there to actually finish the damn trailer. But the result has been to turn us off.

And then the second trailer has seemingly no connection to the first trailer. What? So now I'm turned off and I'm confused.

I get the comedic irony of evil teddy bears. It's been done before. But this game cannot escape the comparison to Conker's Teddiz, and it's not measuring up.

Oh man, can you imagine if they made a Happy Tree Friends (http://mondo.happytreefriends.com/) game. THAT I WOULD PLAY, lol ^_^

First of all, the trailers are terribly produced. They feature no music, little in the way of sound at all actually, and no rising element of action. The first was amazing worse than the five second dealy-o-bob above, as it was a clinic on the film rule of show and not tell.

As for the game, the "Evil" version of a typically cute creature is so overdone at this point that I cannot possibly care. I'd rather just watch the Christmas Critters holiday special.

Well, here's some background on the company--and it's rather shocking:

The developer is "Artificial Mind and Movement (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artificial_Mind_and_Movement)" otherwise known as A2M. They hail from Quebec, and have over 500 employees in two studios.

Really? This two dollar trailer came out of a professional studio with more than 15 employees? Really? I'm shocked. I was sure I was about to uncover information about a two-bit developer with a studio held together with shoelace and bubblegum.

Naughty Bear's wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naughty_Bear)gives us some more details on the title. Details which I would never have looked up on my own, but do so for the sake of you guys who may be interested, and with the hopes that I can find some more hints of why these trailers may be so very bad.

Naughty Bear is the title of an upcoming video game for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. Players will control the eponymous bear as they use various weapons to earn "Naughty Points", with extra points being given for "deviant and maniacal" tactics.[2] The game is set on a paradisical island where teddy bears live in harmony. The main character, Naughty Bear, is a shabby teddy bear who has a tendency be mischievous, which earns him the dislike of the other bears. Like the other teddy bears, he does not speak but instead conveys his emotions through a variety of sounds and facial expressions.

That does not sound... good. "Naughty Points"? Do they even realize that the word "naughty" calls up sexual connotations? Is this going to be purely about violence? There is absolutely nothing sympathetic about this character, and thus nothing for a player to identify with.

Plot premise:
Naughty Bear is the only bear on the island that was not invited to a certain birthday party because of the fact that he is too naughty. While he crafted a gift for the occasion, he was laughed at by the other bears and sulked back to his house. Rejected, Naughty Bear decides to take his revenge against all the other bears on the island.
...Oooookay. That's not disproportionate at all.

So the conflict is one-dimensional and thin. Sure. It's dumb because there's absolutely no reason why NB can't walk away from the story any time he wants.

Thus, there will be no tension in the game and we as players won't be invested in the outcome of the story.

Plus, that's really a terrible message. What next, his girlfriend breaks up with him in NB2 so he nukes the entire planet? I demand higher stakes than "he's pissed off because he didn't get invited." Yes, I get the absurdity of the premise but I don't think it works.

The game is a sandbox-styled world with thirty unique environments and weaponry to unlock though progression. It features a system that rewards the player for creative acts of violence and debauchery against the inhabitants of the island. While causing mischief, the player is rewarded with "Naughty Points", as well as offering certain achievements and trophies. The game also has multiplayer options with games such as Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, and Search and Find. Depending on the player's actions, in-game bears can either be recruited or may tamper with the main objective.
Ah, now it's coming out; it's "Manhunt with teddybears." So, there are sexual connotations after all. How many "naughty points" do you think the game will award for groping a girl before you kill her :|

Of course, I'm sure it's more in vein of lewd pranks than that. I would sincerely hope you can't rape anyone in the game. I'll call Jack Thompson myself if there is :P

Instead it'll be things like peeing in people's soup, etc.; adolescent scatalogical humor. And lots of shooting, apparently.

I'm not sure what the point of pranking them is before you kill them though.

It's also a major problem when your game is supposed to be funny and the trailer is not.

More I hear about this game the less I like it.

This was dumb too: http://www.naughtybearthegame.com/index.html?detectflash=false

Music is pretty good though :P Ironically that's the same thing they said about Wet.

A2M previously made the game Wet (http://www.metacafe.com/watch/2483417/artificial_mind_and_movement_presents_wet/) which looks almost exactly like an over-the-top Prince of Persia mashed together with Tomb Raider--called an "acrobatic shooter." The A2M guy professes to be a fan of Tarantino-style violence.

I'll played all of Dead Rising wearing the teddy bear head so I think I may have already played this game.
