The first of the "major" gaming sites comes out with their review of Burnout Revenge (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/693/693926p1.html) for the X360. Here's a brief snippet:
Burnout Revenge is a game ahead of its time and, as such, belongs here in the next generation. EA loses a few points because this title was released last year on current-gen consoles and doesn't add much in the innovation category. But Burnout Revenge proves you can successfully take a current-gen game and port it into a great next-generation experience. This is, of course, something we don't want to see made into a trend, and it's still difficult to recommend a purchase to anyone that already owns the current-gen title. But for everyone else, Burnout Revenge is the first white-knuckle racer on the 360. Solid single-player mode and excellent online and multiplayer modes will keep you coming back for a long while.
Anyone else picking this up? I've been looking to fill my destructive void after the less-than-stellar Full Auto Demo.

I'll likely pick this up some time in the near future. I've already played the Xbox version, but I stopped playing in when the 360 version was announced.

For the so inclined. Pretty good reviews so far, I just called Gamestop/EB Games and they said it would be in-store tomorrow afternoon.
My Bank Account - $59.99.

Even if they only updated the graphics this would be a fun game. Burnout's rampant destruction is always a pleaser, and this is one of the few series I want to see continue for a while.

I'll rent it in April or May, going to be busy with GRAW and Oblivion for a good while.

Already Pre-Ordered.
I stopped playing the Xbox version when I found crash junctions had to be reloaded every time you restarted one, and it took forever! Add to that some niggly bugs and I just stopped outright.
If they've solved those things for the 360 they'll have themselves a purchase. I'll trade in the old one to help cover the cost.

One thing you can't do with the 360 version is skip through the awards, stars, etc. You have to sit through the whole process every single time.

Pre-ordered. I understand that they got rid of the golf mini-game at the begining of crash mode... Thats about the only flaw I saw in the Xbox version.

Played the xbox version. That was enough for me, considering that if you've played 3 before you can go through this game in a week. Ah well.

Load times where a ok on the Xbox version, but the 360 version has doubled waiting time so no buy for me, but it's a great game.

Since I read that "double" made it about 20 seconds, I can live with that.
Already preordered. I'll pick it up tomorrow along with Ghost Recon. Probably be a bit before I play it :)

The gamespot review said that loading times were the shortest. Where did you read info on the double waiting time?

For months, I've been fantasizing about blowing $60 on a game I already bought for $50 3 months before. Wish granted.

Picking this up with GRAW tomorrow. Burnout3 was my favorite xbox game and I briefly played Revenge on Xbox to know I will once again love the series. Road Rage is so fun in my opinion, I rang up over 7000 additional takedowns in single events after the first 900 i earned just going through the storymode events. Rock.
