The latest trailer for X-Men: The Last Stand (http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/tls/trailer/) has been posted on Apple’s Quicktime website. (http://www.apple.com/trailers/)

I am hopeful this movie won't kill the franchise of my favorite band of mutants.

Looking good :)

Looking very good.

Hope to see a Sentinel, Pheonix and the Juggernaught going completley apeshit!!

Looking absolutely awesome! I love that Ellen Page is playing Kitty Pryde - check out the trailer for Hard Candy (http://hardcandymovie.com/) and you'll see why.

I saw this last night during 24. It looks good, but is definitely not Singer. Lot of guidewire action going on.

Still kind of epic. I think Grammar will work well also.

I didn't recognize any of the B-list mutants that cameo'd in the trailer. They've tapped out my basic X-men knowlege. :( I'm just afraid this will be an AvP type movie where yes, you get Aliens fighting Predators and that's what you came to see, but that's it.

Though I admit I smiled when KP was blinking through walls and Juggernaut was just plowing through them chasing her.

Though I admit I smiled when KP was blinking through walls and Juggernaut was just plowing through them chasing her.Arguably the greatest scene in the trailer.

My main worry is still the portrayal of the Dark Phoenix. In the comics, when Jean turned evil, it was something literally cosmic and out of her control. I worry that here it will just be here going "insane" or something, which will be a very different tone, in my opinion. Either way though, the "Kill me" at the end of the trailer is quite chilling.

I dunno... doesn't make sense to me. Why is she running from him? What the frig is he gonna do to her, make a menacing grimace? She's incorporeal, super strength doesn't do much to counter that!

It's still the same woman, I believe.

I was actually hoping she wouldn't be in this movie. She is my least favorite character in all the movies. The comic book Mystique actually wore clothes and in the movies it seems like she's just there for their nearly naked chick quota.

The trailer looks good though. I do hope we see some Sentinals though.

My first reaction was, after seeing it during the 24 showing, that's so like Ultraviolet! They even used the same kid - Cameron Bright (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1080974/)!

Ultraviolet Plot: ...With fierce fighting skills and chameleon-like abilities, Violet (Milla Jovovich) sets out to destroy a governments-designed time bomb that will eliminate all Hemophages. To Violet's surprise, the deadly device is a nine-year-old boy (played by Cameron Bright), who was raised in a laboratory and goes by the name Six.

X-Men 3 Plot: ...a "cure" (played by Cameron Bright) for mutancy threatens to alter the course of history...

(Bright was also in the movie, Running Scared earlier this year. He's getting alot of screen time.)

I shouldn't have watched that. 2 and half months can be a really long time...

Don't you dare lower my nearly naked chick quota! She's the hottest blue scaly chick most of us have ever seen. Seriously though, I loved when she seduced the security guard and fortified his diet with iron (and Magneto's taking advantage of it). That to me was pure X-men.

What I like in this trailer: Beast and Angel are portrayed well, I knew Grammer would capture the voice and mood of Hank. Juggernaut, while stupid looking in stills, looks badass plowing through walls. Logan's concern and love for Jean, excellent. Finally- was that naked white girl a "cured" Mystique?

What sucks: Storm (she has sucked in the other two X-men and doesn't disappoint here). All the gothy, punky mutants with bad costumes. The fact that the interweb has spoiled me on who dies (multiple key deaths) and I almost don't want to see it for that reason alone.

And I don't think we'll see Sentinels unless they've kept that entirely under wraps somehow. You'd think somebody on the set would have noticed giant robots. We also know that the plot revolves around a mutant cure, not a destructive solution. Too much for one movie, especially when you have to cover the deaths of A B and C.

M'eh... with so much CGI these days for stuff like that, I'd be surprised if an on-set Sentinel amounted to much more than a guy on stilts holding up a bullseye on a stick for where the Sentinel's face should be. *shrug*

True, but there would be at least SOME practicals, maybe a big metal boot, or a hand, etc.

But really I think it's just not a fit for the plot they've shown us, nor was it in the leaked script that so far has matched all the shots we've seen. It's also too expensive - the Sentinels were designed for X2 then scrapped due to the $8 million price tag. Honestly, looking at this trailer, I think they ran out of SFX money in places anyway.

EDIT: Sentinel maquette from X-2 (http://www.xmenfilms.net/exclusive/sentinel1.html)

Looks like some kind of b-movie.

That's also the stupidest Sentinel I've ever seen.

Jesus Christ, Beast looks stupid. I'm certain Fraiser can do a good job... it just looks so damn stupid.

I've got high hopes for this one. I just wish they didn't fuck Mystique's look up so badly. I don't mind that she's "nude", but she doesn't even have any nipples; just a barbie doll with blue spikey crap glued on it.

That "sacrifice" line that Xavier pulled... The writers probably killed him off.
