From 4 Color Rebellion (http://www.4colorrebellion.com/archives/2006/03/04/trauma-center-confirmed-for-revolution/) :

IGN put up a new Revolution podcast and revealed that a Trauma Center game will be coming to the Revolution. Not only that, but Atlus says it will be playable at E3. Atlus is supreme gaming ruler of the week.

You can also find a list of every Revolution title in development that Ign knows about, including a title from Natsume (Harvest Moon most likely), THQ (based on the Cars movie), Activision, Capcom and more.

Fuck yeah. Trauma Center is an amazing game, and I can't wait to play it on the Rev. If I wasn't already sold on one, this would do it.

Yeah, I think I'm going to be participating in this console generation ..starting with the Rev. It looks like the big N might be doing everything right this generation. ..An XBox360 is tempting, but not for the price. I can wait for a while there (besides the whole availability thang.) A shame GTA and Gran Turismo are still sticking with Sony (at least, initially), coz they're the only PS3 titles that interest me; and they're not enough to persuade me to get a 3rd console.

Gonna go a little off topic here and introduce you guys to another Atlus release that's coming up, Steambot Chronicles (http://www.atlus.com/cgi-bin/games?action=details&game_id=1): A sandbox mecha game in a jRPG style. Check it out, it's getting pretty good reviews in Japan from what I understand.

I've been playing this every day on my lunch break, and I've got to say this is interesting news. I don't agree with the "Nintendo owns next gen" statements that usually fly on EA, but if Rev launches at the rumored prices, heck yeah I'll be in line. I more want solid info like this, though.

If they take a bit of the frustration factor out (along with the alien/terrorist plot) and focus more on "realistic" surgeries, I'd be all over it. I played Trauma Center on my DS quite a bit, it was the first game I bought for the handheld, but it pissed me off muy mucho.

Trauma center rules.

I hope they don't cut down on the furstration and difficulty one bit though. That's exactly what gaming needs.

People complain about how games only take one sitting to beat these days and then complain when games are difficult. A five level game used to take people a year to beat becuase it had a thing called challenege. That's what trauma center has, in my opinion.

Quite true, though I wouldn't be against getting away from the sci-fi.

Difficulty is one thing, trial and error frustration is another. One of the early-mid game surgeries has a bunch of aneurysms or something that pop, just as you are about to sew up the patient. You are sure to fail the first time this happens. I failed for a long time after, too, until I learned to just let the fuckers pop and try to fix them after, instead of saving them from bursting. And the game was very predictable in ...oh, I'm doing well, I'm keeping stats high and the surgery is going decent...that means I know something is about to hit the fan because they have to fuck me at least once a surgery. Surgeries are not too long, and I didn't really mind them until I got into the GUILT sections of the game. After that I really started to lose interest.

I don't enjoy easy games. I like games that reward you for skill, not punish you with frustrating scenarios over and over--trying and erring until you get it right. Trauma Center could be a wicked bitch, and I didn't enjoy being fucked with like that.

Well, this officially sells me a Revo. Trauma Center is one of my favorite DS games.

Wow, this is great news! Hopefully they actually make more than 10 copies so that I can play it.

Lots of new Nintendo news today. Nintendo should make Sunday their official announcements day so we actually get some news on the weekends every now and then.

Personaly Id rather be able to finish the game, then get frustraited, give up and end up hateing the game.

Perigon, you are evil. That Steambot game looks awesome. Any idea when it's coming out, aside from Spring 2006?

I'm also really happy that Trauma Center will be out on the Rev. It's definately a game that would make use of the remote/wand tech.

Awesome! I loved Trauma Center for the DS... except for the bomb mission, and the triangle Guilt. But in the end, it was all pretty fun. Looking forward to this!

Trauma Center and Revolution: A match made in (gaming) heaven!
I told you guys... The DS is the Portable REvolution... The rev controller is like a full 3d stylus. We are going to see many Rev versions of DS games that employ the touch screen.

Yeah, I'm working Atlus over for a copy of this. Looks interesting. As for Rev, it's probably the main next-gen I'll be playing... although I'm sure I'll have to buy a PS3 to get my fix of RPG/Strategy games.

I'm not sure about this, personally. I liked Trauma Center a lot but I wonder if the wand will really work as well for surgery. Hopefully Atlus knows what they're doing.
