With the weekend here, I get to continue to play "work." When not playing that, I will be attending a costume party for a good friend who is a children's librarian - hence the theme of the costumes is to be children's books. We came up with a great one - Harold and the Purple Crayon (my wife will be the purple crayon). And, when not writing on the walls, I plan to get some WoW, CoHs, and Silent Storm in. Soon I will have a copy of Galatic Civilzations 2 (anyone played it yet?) and am suffering EVE online withdrawls (not a good sign). What will you be playing?

I imagine I will be playing Guild Wars. They added a bunch of balance changes to the game today and I am curious to see how they play out.

Maybe some Guild Wars or Civ 4 on the PC. Still gotta work on PD0 and Kameo on my 360. We'll see if I do any or all of that. I still gotta finish reading Harry Potter 4 before I pick up the movie on DVD too.

I'm in to Galactic Civilizations 2 now, it's comparable to Civilzation 4. There is a deep tech tree, broad and varied victory conditions, great diplomacy and really really smart AI opponents. GalCiv 2 beats out Civ 4 in some ways with a great customizable ship system and a good rally point system to ease unit micromanagement. Where it falls behind is documentation, when you are used to everything being cross-referenced and indexed in Civ 4 it's tough to get used to the weaker tooltips and player assists. Still it's great, I'll be up all night.
Tomorrow I'm playing Twilight Imperium 3. I can't wait.

I will be playing The Outfit Multiplayer Demo on Xbox 360.

Slugging through Grandia-3. I found the plot stupid from the start but the fighting system has me hooked. Maybe I'll get around to trying Empire at War.

Chrono Trigger. Still my all-time favorite game, if only for the nostalgia at this point.
I'm also hoping to five-star the last three songs (out of 47!) on expert in Guitar Hero. Then I'll be going for 100% scores on each . . . and loving every minute of it.

DDO - I'll be ressurecting the DDO thread in a bit. I urge all those who are playing to join the growing EA guild. Right now there's only about 6 of us, but I'd like to see 10 by this weekend. Come on folks!! DON'T DAMN US TO PICKUP GROUPS!

I'll be playing the get over the flu game this weekend. Worst place in the world to place it? A college dormatory.
If I feel well enough to game, I might play some Half-life 2 or CoV.

I might pop open GTA:SA finally, or even go back to playing KOTOR 2. **SPOILER: I didn't finish the game, and I didn't know that Bastila makes an appearance in it. /drool

Tales of Symphonia (gc)
Mushihimesama (ps2)
Tales of Symphonia is alright. The story follows a pretty typical jrpg template and makes little sense. The main characters are a bunch of kids and the voice acting is kind of annoying. However, the battle system is fun, and the plot is just interesting enough to make me keep playing until I finish.

Well, I finally managed to polish off Ico today between intense work sessions on my term paper. Hopefully, this weekend will be the last weekend for awhile that I'm left with no time to game. I tell ya, I'm jonesin' for a good five hour sit down with my consoles and I'm hoping it won't be far off. If I do have some time this weekend though, I'm probably try to play some JakIII to try and get my mind off that Spore video.

I'm hopefully going to get some time in on WoW this weekend, but I doubt it.
Why?
Freedom Force Vs. The Third Reich, that's why.
I finally re-installed this game as I had abandoned it far to early in the campaign last year for no real reason besides the usual gamer distraction. I'm re-hooked on it and loving every minute. The fact that I'm back into comic collecting and have been reading a lot of comics recently probably helped too.
Aside from that, I'll be trying to finish off Chibi-Robo in the next day or two and I'm seriously thinking about firing up Vagrant Story for another play-through.
I'll also be doing the usual DS stuff (a bit of Meteos, AC:WW and Mario & Luigi) plus tomorrow will likely see me busting out the Guitar Hero and Burnout: Revenge when my friends stop by to do taxes.
Yes, come to Spigot's house, do your taxes and play some games. Fun times.

4 more games to go in my Madden 06 season for the 360, and I'll probably try to defend my championship belt in Fight Night, now that I've beaten all the achievements.

Since Mrs. Wad has a policy conference until noon Tues (I saw her for the last time tonight until late Tues night) I'm going to finish F.E.A.R; no idea how much is left. Then I'm going to clean the house (a bit). Then I'm going to try for the second time to get into Metroid Prime; I got lost and confused not too long after whacking the overgrown weed the last time around. I'll probably play some Civ4 in and around all this; fantastically addictive game, at which I am wretched. *sob*

I've put in about five days worth of EVE-Online. I'm still not sure what I feel about it. Sometimes I'm overwhelmed by the sheer amount of content and other times I'm bored watching my ship warp through Yet Another Jump Gate.
I'm also working on Fire Emblem for the Cube. So far it's been easy but enjoyable.

Oh Jesus. I just read the review of MLB '06: The Show for the PS2 and I NEED this game. Hot piping Christ, I'm a baseball nut and this looks to out perform last year's MVP '05. I'm in the playoffs of MVP so once I wrap the season up, I'll start The Show...unless the 2k Sports title gets a review soon or Nintendo's own title.
Battlefield 2 and Dragon quest VIII

I'm actually replaying the Mechwarrior4 series... last weekend it was Mech4: Vengeance. This weekend, it's Mech4: Black Knight.
I've already played Mech4: Mercs about 500x from start to finish, with every possible tactical approach/mech config. Lots of fun. Still waiting for the official High Definition Pack to be released for the Mektek Pak v3.02a... but that's probably going to be a few months.
Also obtained a new laptop for work, an HP nc6120. I've been reloading it to my own specifications the last day. Was able to request a Hitachi Travelstar 7200 80GB drive to be shipped to me next week as well. Anyone have any experience with these? I've always hated notebooks (too limited expansion options for me--hell, my workstation has 14 fans) but, due to my job requirements, it's finally actually a requirement... Hoping the 7200rpm drive helps speed this thing up a bit.
May reload an old P3 to run MW3 again next weekend... I miss that game a lot the more I play MW4-series games. Although, in all honesty, the Mektek folks have done an excellent job on expanding the MW4 games.

I love all my useless crap and it hurts me to give/throw it away.
That's not a fun game. :(
Oddly liberating at the end. There's a certain sense of catharsis at the end.
unless the 2k Sports title gets a review soon or Nintendo's own title.
Pennant Chase, or whatever it was, got cancelled, I believe. 2K's game looks pretty good though. I think I'll probably pick it up if it's $20.

A bit of googling led me to a fan made xp-specific installer and a modified version of DosBox. Using these and the knowledge that, even though the installer lets you choose where to install to, you have to install it to the default path I finally got it running with sound and everything!
